Nestled on 12 acres of lush, park-like grounds in beautiful Haiku, our 600-sq-ft studio offers a serene retreat surrounded by nature. Mana Aina, meaning "the power of the earth" in Hawaiian, sits in a privileged location, enveloped by pure air from Hana and the tropical forest flanking Haleakala, a dormant volcano. Enjoy sweeping views across our mature parkland, dotted with ornamental trees, tropical plants, seasonal fruit trees, and vibrant flowers.
Our clean, well-maintained studio features brick and stucco walls, tile floors, and high-beam ceilings. Open the sliding doors to step into our expansive grounds, where nature thrives. On the ocean side, a 50-acre forest provides seclusion, while a seasonal stream flows through a gulch from Haleakala to the ocean near Jaws, one of the world’s premier surfing spots. Neighboring properties are equally tranquil, and quiet East Kuiaha Road ensures peace.
Note: We embrace wildlife and insects as vital to our ecosystem. While we strive to keep them out of the studio, you may encounter geckos or other critters. We minimize their presence in the studio but cannot eliminate them entirely. For a manicured, pest-controlled environment, consider a South Shore resort.
The Neighborhood
Despite its secluded setting, Mana Aina is just a 6-minute drive from excellent restaurants and grocery stores. For organic and healthy options, visit Mana Foods in Paia (10 minutes away) or the Pauwela Cannery for casual breakfast or lunch. The Haiku Cannery offers diverse dining, including Nuka Sushi, Colleen’s Restaurant (burgers, pizza, and more), Vegout for vegetarian fare, and Maui Kombucha Bar. Don’t miss Ahonui Plant-Based Cafe’s food truck at 111 Stable Road, Paia.

Outdoor Activities: Hike the Makawao Forest, zip-line at Piiholo Ranch, or explore Iao Valley’s streams and pools.

Booking Tips
Due to Maui’s housing shortage, secure your vacation rental before booking flights, as accommodations are harder to find than airfare. Our pricing is fair, regularly updated to reflect market conditions, and applies equally to all guests. Discounts are not available.
We look forward to welcoming you to Mana Aina for a peaceful, unforgettable Maui experience!
