We loved the Retro Cabin! It's perfectly situated in a secluded area, but close to great hiking spots like Old Man's Cave and Rock House. The jukebox and hot tub were an added bonus. We were truly Livin' the Dream for the weekend!
My husband and I had a great time celebrating our anniversary here! The jukebox was such a fun and unique addition we enjoyed dancing to. The hot tub was great! Our small dog loved her stay as well! Instructions from the host were thorough and we had no difficulty using anything on the property during our stay. We would stay here again!
Really cute cabin for couples. Super clean and check in was a breeze. And very thoughtful hosts made it a very warm welcome. Property lovely with lots of outdoor activities. It is next to a cow farm and at least the weekend we were there, it was not quiet.
The cabin was very clean and very cute! Well decorated and we had all the basics and they even left a cake and a sweet note for our anniversary. The location is very peaceful and close to all that we wanted to explore! Thank you again!
We loved the retro vibe of this cabin and the pond view was very peaceful and relaxing. Hosts were very accommodating even during an issue with the hot water heater which they were very quick to respond to. Would definitely stay here again:)
Fantastic property! Secluded from neighboring homes by plenty of woods surrounding the cabin and pond with easy driveway access from the road. This two story cabin has a spacious covered porch facing the fountain in the pond, fire pit and chair. The outdoor area nicely lights at night with automatic string lights. The porch was our favorite area, but the hot tub was a nice bonus! The inside is very comfortable with a sofa/sectional and the owner has provided thoughtful touches like a waterproof pet blanket, dog treats and a towel ! Beautiful kitchen and appliances, great bedroom upstairs with natural floors and walls. Stairs are a bit narrow on the risers …only critique of our stay! Super helpful digital welcome manual provided by email was extremely helpful throughout our stay! Great trip!!
Cabin was super clean ! The view of the pond was so peaceful and the sounds of the bullfrogs at night with the hanging lights was so amazing !! Perfect get away ! Hot tub was perfect ! Comfy king size bed. I could go on and on . Do yourself a favor and book this Cabin !!
We loved our stay at the Retro Cabin! It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a peaceful weekend in Hocking Hills. The host went above and beyond by leaving a birthday cake and note for my 40th which was such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend for a relaxing couple’s getaway!
This was a beautiful and immaculately clean property that was perfectly set up for a couple! They thought of everything you might need and the decor was super cool! Everything was perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Retro Cabin. The property was gorgeous and the provided the perfect get away for the weekend. The juke box was a great retro touch and the home provided all the amenities one could need for the weekend. Our favorite part was sitting on the porch having coffee in the AM. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great Hocking Hills stay!
This is the most adorable cabin! And the hosts were incredibly responsive. My boyfriend and my small dog stayed here for a weekend away. We had operator error issues with getting into the cabin with the key pad, but Megan dropped everything and drove over to help us. I cannot express how grateful we were! The cabin was just as described. It is immaculately clean and has a wide staircase which was not as scary as some of the double occupancy cabins with loft bedrooms. It has easy access to the main highway thru Hocking Hills, and very close to Logan where all of the hiking trails are located. Ian and Megan left detailed explanations for everything, and we couldn't have been more satisfied. I would definitely book thru Living the Dream Cabins again!
Amazing hosts! Amazing place! Very relaxing and gorgeous retro cabin. Exactly as described and then some. Can’t wait to come back. The guidebook was amazing and enhanced our stay! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay and great memory.
This cabin is both wonderfully situated and beautifully decorated. The adjacent pond and woods are the perfect setting for morning coffee or evening drinks, and comfortable chairs have been mindfully placed. The interior decoration is fun and attractive, and the cabin is well-outfitted with creature comforts. I particularly appreciated the black-out blinds. It’s very nice to have the option to sleep in past sunrise!
My wife and I wanted a quick get away and this cabin was perfect. We really enjoyed dancing to the juke box as we wound down our baby for bedtime and my wife and I enjoy a glass of wine on the front porch overlooking the pond.
We had an amazing stay at the retro cabin. It was scenic, secluded, and had all the amenities that we needed. It was clean and the decor was super fun. The old school jukebox was so much fun and had many of our faves. The hot tube was relaxing, and sitting at the fire pit with the twinkle lights and the pond fountain light was perfect! I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to relax and enjoy nature.

Thank you, Lyndsey for being our very FIRST guests at the Retro Cabin and for taking the time to leave us a five-star review! The jukebox is one of our favorites as well - we had a lot of fun picking out which records to include. We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your weekend getaway and would love for you to visit again. Thank you for choosing Living The Dream Cabins!
It is a beautiful property. The steps to the bedroom are very steep. Made me very nervous there isn’t a handrail to hold onto. The shower doesn’t have a curtain and is like a rainfall. Besides those two things it is very nice and beautiful. Peaceful . Close to locations and groceries if needed . Owners were very helpful.

Thank you for your review, Kate! We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our Retro Cabin and always strive to provide a 5-star experience. The shower is designed as an open-concept rainfall style, as shown and described in our listing, and many guests enjoy the open, relaxing feel while pulling the pocket door closed for privacy. There is also a wooden banister along the stairs for support, though we understand every guest’s comfort level can vary. We value your feedback and hope to welcome you back for another stay with Living The Dream Cabins!
If you’re looking for a laid back trip down memory lane, this is the place for you!
This cabin is located close to multiple wineries and has all kinds of fun amenities.
My husband and I had a blast rocking out to the juke box! We caught 7 blue gills and a bass in the front pond. Our puppy LOVED the treats they left for her.
Whoever decorated the cabin has a fantastic eye for detail.
The hosts are very responsive. Thanks for a fun weekend in the 70s - 80s
