About this property
Private Secluded Cabin Unbelievable Views Brand New Hot Tub
Phenomenal aspen foliage at this mountain cabin! Explore the golden mountain views during the day, cozy up with the fireplace or hot tub when the evening cools. A short drive from coveted hunting territory and vibrant communities of restaurants & shops – Fairplay, Alma, Breckenridge, Buena Vista, & Salida! To enjoy activities or quiet time Moose Crossing is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream and secluded wilderness oasis. No matter what you`re looking for this magical location will delight you!
The amazing cabin has 3 bedrooms & 3 baths cleverly arranged to maximize both shared space & privacy in a cozy footprint. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac with stunning vista views, the best sunrises, and frequent wildlife visitors, this place will not disappoint you! The community of Warm Springs Ranch is a quiet neighborhood bordering National Forrest lands just south of Hoosier Pass with limitless opportunity to enjoy the wilderness during all times of the year. If your activity of choice is not available mere steps out the back door, it’s definitely one that’s close by! Skiing, boarding, snowshoeing, sledding, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, dirt-biking, 4-wheelers, side-by-sides, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, gold-panning and the list goes on. When you need a break, the nearby towns are full of quaint restaurants, creative local vendors, fascinating living history, and of course, endless scenery.
When you approach the front deck of our patch of heaven, the first thing you’ll notice is the stunning vista across the plains looking north toward the Continental Divide. Moose, coyote, deer, & elk often cross these plains so keep your eyes peeled. We also attract a variety of birds with multiple feeders. After entering the living space you’ll be greeted with a phenomenal open concept living room/dining room/kitchen area complete with lovely hardwood floors and a built-in fireplace unit to keep the space cozy on those chilly mountain evenings. The surrounding windows maximize the view, bringing the outdoors in and allowing the shadows of shimmering aspen leaves to dance across the walls. The spacious kitchen incorporates granite countertops, a farmhouse sink, stainless steel appliances, and all the culinary utensils & accoutrements needed to create delicious meals should you decide to cook in. There is ample seating tastefully placed throughout the shared space, and the first floor is the perfect entertainment setting for your group. There is one bedroom equipped with a king bed and one full bathroom on the first floor. The two remaining bedrooms on the second floor each have queen beds with private adjoining bathrooms. Zoned heating throughout the house allows you to set the temperature that makes you most comfortable. The house is fully wi-fi equipped with dependable internet connection via Starlink so whether you’re doing some work while enjoying the view, or enjoying a movie night on one of the cabin’s two TV’s, you’ll have the connection you need. The relaxing atmosphere continues as you move out the back door onto the small patio with a propane grill, private hot tub that is perfectly situated to enjoy the northern view, and a marked trail leading to the National Forrest border.
For your stay, Moose Crossing cabin will be fully stocked with fresh linens, towels, plenty of soft blankets, paper products, hand soap/lotion, cleaning supplies, and basic pantry spices. We have select board games, playing cards, books, pamphlets to local attractions, yard games, sleds, and even a basket of balls for your pup! We also have laundry machines available with plenty of hanging space for all the clothing & gear you used on your outdoor adventures. Prior to your arrival our dedicated cleaning & maintenance crew ensures your cabin is cleaned to CDC/VRMA guidelines ensuring your safety & comfort. We will also take care of the majority of the cleaning load upon your departure – we just ask that you complete a few small tasks prior to locking up. More information will be laid out for you in the cabin’s guest welcome book inside the front door. Remember it`s our number one priority that you have a comfortable & relaxing stay, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with special requests.
Moose Crossing is our home. We have traveled all over the world, lived in many places, and explored spectacular natural environments, but none have called to us as strongly as this mountain retreat. It’s incredibly important to us that you enjoy the area as much as we do, which is why we’ve set up this location with everything you need to explore & have a comfortable, convenient stay! We are outdoor enthusiasts, dog lovers, and genuinely enjoy meeting people everywhere we go. It is our hope that you enjoy great hospitality not only at our cabin, but also throughout the community of Fairplay & the surrounding area. The town is quiet & slow, but that’s why we love it!
