FLEMING-O (Flamingo) Cottage is the perfect getaway

Fleming-O (pronounced “flamingo”) is located on one-way Fleming Street in the middle of historic Old Town Key West and only two blocks from world famous Duval Street and its restaurants, bars, art galleries, and shops.

This conch cottage has all the modern amenities you would need for a relaxing stay in Key West.

The contemporary kitchen with a cathedral ceiling is equipped with a full-size refrigerator, stove/oven, all cookware, utensils, dishes, and convenient countertop appliances. The kitchen has a dining table and seating for four in addition to two stools at the breakfast bar. Glass sliding doors open to a fenced, private deck that includes a gas grill, two chaise lounges, built-in benches, an outdoor dining table, and an outdoor shower. The living room contains a queen convertible sofa. All linens and towels, including beach towels, are supplied. The home is equipped with a new stacked washer and dryer located in a bathroom closet.

Both bedrooms share the common area bath, with double-basin pedestal sink and beautifully tiled walk-in shower. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two twin beds. Both bedrooms and the living room contain flat-screen TVs. The large front porch is a few steps above the street, making it the perfect place to sit on the wicker chairs and relax with your morning coffee.

The location is ideal—just blocks from Blue Heaven and Pepe’s, the best breakfast spots in town. All the nightlife venues are located within a short walking distance.

Great location, nice amenities

The location couldn’t have been better and the cottage was quite cute. Shower/bathroom, front porch and kitchen all quite lovely. We had an issue and the management company came out within the hour to address it.My complaint is the beds. There were twin beds in the second bed and a queen in the main bedroom. But the beds were very very tired. Really dreadful all of them. For the price I really would expect nicer mattresses and bedding. We really enjoyed the stay on the island, but wouldn’t stay here again.

Turner KW Weekend

We had a great long weekend. Clean, quaint, and well decorated. Great location. Had everything we needed. No problems or issues, as we did not have to call manager at all. Would definitely stay here again.

Flamingo House Rocks

My wife 2 boys and I had a great time at this house. Very easy to walk most places. Very clean, neighbor Ricky was great & Mgt was extremely helpful. We would definitely recommend this house for your stay in Key West. Given the opportunity we will stay here again!

Think Pink for your Key West Stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at this amazing and super clean Key West conch house! The decor and style are so perfect for the island and so many perfect small details are not to be taken for granted here! Making future guests aware; the bed in the master has a very firm mattress. The tips on temps to keep things at along with the outdoor shower were appreciated! WiFi, a great location, and cleanliness included! Highly recommend staying at this Flamingo (my kiddos counted 103 throughout) fun house! Thanks so much for helping this mom check one off the bucket list in style!

Just steps away from all the action

First glance at Fleming-o promised a cozy stay with attention to detail. Stepping through the front door we were greeted with the most charming cottage imaginable. The owner’s decor was pure Key West…funky and fabulous. The shared bathroom was functional and exquisite in its decor. Flemingo is steps away from the action of Duval but provides a peaceful place to call home!! This was our first stay with Key West Hideaway but hopefully not our last. The office was extremely helpful and even held out bags as our fight back to Ohio wasn’t until the evening! It was a fabulous trip!’

PERFECT house for our Key West stay!

Fleming-O was PERFECT for our Key West stay. This house is waaaaay roomier inside than the photos depict. We slept 6 easily (grandparents in the queen bed room, my wife and I in the double twin-beds room, and our two teenagers on the living room's pull out couch). We were a little nervous about having just the one bathroom and shower, but the enclosed outdoor shower on the back deck made it all more than work. Double sinks in the bathroom made bathroom time ample for everyone. The whole house is wonderfully decorated. There is a pink flamingo theme, but it is far from overwhelming. It is a well maintained, clean, Key West home that is just a few blocks from the heart of Duval street...and the walk really just takes a minutes to get there... There is no parking assigned to the house, so you have to park on the street...but in the 5 days we were there, we never had to park more than half a block from the house...most of the time our car sat parked anyways! It's a very short walk to Duval, and the city bus picks up practically right at the house! While we never did use them, each bedroom, and the living room, had a flat screen tv, and there is wifi in the home. There was a smaller sized washer/dryer, full refrigerator/freezer, oven/stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker, and grill. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots and pans, silverware, plates, bowls, mugs, cups, cutting boards, and other assorted containers. We ate out most of the time, but did breakfast in each day, and a few quick meals in between activities on our busier days. We never found the kitchen lacking. The small safe was a great bonus, although we never had any concerns about the security of the house. Coming back to the cottage from being about, we appreciated the code operated, locking front door, as we walked into the well functioning air conditioning. It was beyond refreshing! Quiet overhead fans in every room ensured great air movement. Key West Hideaways could not have been a better operator, with superior communication, we could not have felt more at ease as renters. Even our after-hours check-in was seamless. They even made sure the home was filled with binders of Key West activity magazines and pamphlets, as well as discount coupons to pretty much anything you wanted to venture out to do...and there is plenty to do! I doubt we will even look for another place to stay on our planned return trip to beautiful Key West

Great walking location in old neighborhood Key West

-Excellent property and location for a reunion of 3 seniors: life-long friends who get together once a year or so, coming from different parts of the country. -Comfy furnishings; fun, quirky decorations; fully equipped kitchen for cooking. -The property manager was great: even called us to let us know we could get in to the place a few hours early. -Perfect location in old historic part of Key West. We knew driving in Key West is no fun, so this place was walking distance to everything we were interested in: Dining, drinks, Heningway Home (15min), South Beach (20 min), Mallory Square (15 min) and everything in between, Key West Cemetery (5 min). Could have walked to the best beach at Zachary Taylor State Park, but it's a boring walk heading in to the park, so a Lyft was easy. -We'd book it again.

Perfect Place for a Key West Vacation

Everything about this house and location was perfect for our 5-day getaway. House was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Enjoyed sitting on the back patio after Duval street trips which is very convenient to walk to and from when staying here. Highly recommend and will stay again.

Exceeded Expectations

Fleming-O was the perfect place for our group of four. Everything was very clean - bed linens, towels, dishes, kitchen, bedrooms, etc. The owners thought of everything and created a very comfortable place to stay. The home is exceptionally charming, larger than we thought it would be and in the perfect location for what we wanted to do. It's a very short walk to Duval Street where we spent most of our time and the neighborhood was pretty quiet and we felt very safe. We arrived after hours but the check in process was very simple once we arrived at the check in place. We had a rental car and once we found a place to park, we didn't need to move it the entire time we were there - everything was very accessible to us on foot. Great place to stay and l would definitely stay there again. 5 stars!
