Perfect Adirondack getway for two! Now booking for fall and winter stays.

Spectacular views of the Adirondacks including the High peaks, Moxam, and Gore Mts. This newly constructed log cabin nestled in the quiet woods features an open floor plan with one bedroom and 1 full bathroom. The house is furnished and has all the comforts of home including a king size bed with hotel quality linens, propane fireplace, big screen television, cable internet WiFi and AC gas grill and fire pit. All basic kitchen supplies and spices provided as well as towels and linens. The house also features full length porches on the north and south of the house to take in the fabulous views. This a great retreat to enjoy walking, hiking bicycling and perhaps getting a glimpse of the abundant wildlife in the area. Ski direct from the cabin on to Garnet Hill's cross county trail system and enjoy rafting, kayaking, fishing and other area recreation when the season is right. Close to the Hudson river, 13th Lake, Siamese Ponds Wilderness and a quick ride to Lake George. Please call or email to book an Adirondack retreat at the Balm of Gilead.

Perfect size, comfortable, warm, welcoming and fabulous location. Tucked on a beautiful part of the mountain. Close to town, far enough away to do nothing. Hosts are wonderful and responsive. We will be back.

Beautiful and serene

We enjoyed the quiet mornings on the back porch, and the goodies that were left for us. The cabin was very clean and cute. Should be noted that the upstairs and basement are not part of the rental. Beautiful area!

Totally Remote and Peaceful

We totally enjoyed our stay at Balm Of Gilead. The cabin is absolutely gorgious just like the pictures show. Everything looks brand new! It was very well stocked! Arts paintings added to the charm. Kristine was very friendly and was available to help with anything we needed. But honestly, we just felt like we were at home. Definitely plan to stay again. Just wish there was room for 4 to sleep. It would be such a nice place to go with another couple. Thank you Kristine and Art.

Kris, Art and Meghan, we thank you for sharing your lovely cabin with us for a couple of days. The cabin was very roomy, comfortable, spotless and fully equipped. We had a great time hiking, boating, touring and visiting the Adirondacks. We wish you could leave some brochures on hikes for your guests so that they could immediately begin their adventures. It was a pleasure bumping into you at the vista point taking pictures. We hope to return very soon. Denise

Beautiful cabin, clean, so quiet and peaceful. Has everything you need. Front porch and a rear porch. BBQ in back where we cooked up some porterhouse steaks. Town and stores 13 minutes away. They have WiFi and Dish TV and a phone. My cell couldn’t get a signal there. Beautiful area. But it took us about 4 hours from northern NJ. But we loved it. Great place to get away and relax.

Beautiful cabin and a beautiful location in the Adirondack Mountains! Exactly as described and pictured. We stayed 4 days/5 nights and enjoyed every minute. I would highly recommend this location if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation away from the busy tourist areas.

What a lovely little cabin! It was perfect for the two of us to get away and enjoy the woods and quiet. The house had everything we needed and more! The location was perfect to many activities and had easy access to the Northway and other major towns, while being tucked away in the woods. It was SO QUIET! The bedroom was cozy and the living space was great, and we loved the double porch.

Quite peaceful get away

Perfect Cabin in the Woods

It is a very nice, newly constructed cabin on a dirt road near the high peaks. The views driving to and from the cabin are outstanding. The water tasted good and there was good water pressure. The hosts provided everything we needed. Don't forget to check out the nearby garnet mine while you are there.

Perfect getaway

Great getaway!

The Balm of Gilead is a beautiful place to visit and was a perfect weekend getaway! The property is very secluded and quiet. The cabin is a great size and was very clean and new. My wife and I will definitely be booking again!

A Healing Balm

Other than the light under the microwave oven and the overhead light in the kitchen area, neither of which were working, everything about the place was fantastic. The instructions for finding things and operating the TV, washer, dryer and other devices were very clear. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful yet fairly close to a number of places to visit.
