Thank you for the feedback, Nevil! We apologize for the issue with the front door lock during your stay. The lock has since been completely replaced, and that issue is resolved. For future guests, the home does accommodate up to 15 guests, and our listing clearly details each bedroom, bed, and sleeping arrangement so groups can determine whether the setup works for them before booking. If you would like additional sleeping arrangements, guests are welcome to bring their own on top of what we provide! Regarding the toilet, we inspected it following the stay and found it flushing and draining normally with no clog present. We appreciate the feedback and will continue addressing issues promptly to ensure the home is ready and comfortable for our guests.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the condition left by the prior guests resulted in a delayed check-in. Our team worked hard to get the home ready as quickly and thoroughly as possible, but we understand how frustrating that was after a long day of travel. For future guests, the dishwasher has since been repaired, and we have confirmed there are no issues with the septic system, which is professionally serviced and pumped annually. We also have a professional pest company routinely treat the property for mosquitoes and other pests. Being directly on Lake Michigan, seasonal lake flies can unfortunately be very active at night. They do not bite, and unlike mosquitoes, there is no effective treatment that eliminates them from a waterfront property. We appreciate the feedback and will continue doing everything we reasonably can to maintain and improve the home and provide our guests with a great stay.

Our cleaners thoroughly prepared the home, and as a self-catering property, we provide a standard set of kitchen towels, with extras available upon request. The garage floor has been addressed for future stays. The beach and surrounding area are naturally influenced by winds and lake conditions, which can occasionally cause debris or lake flies at dusk. We appreciate your insights and hope to host you again.
