Suggest a few more incidentals like larger cutting board and small packets of laundry detergent. Traveling by air from place to place makes it difficult to but these items and take with you
We enjoyed our time at this beach cottage. Location was good. It was centralized to all the activities we wanted to do. The place was a perfect size for the two of us. The place did take a long time to heat up on a cold day. A call into the managing company wasn't very helpful but we figured it out. The deck needed some repair but was usable and the lawn could have used a mow. However, there is access to the beach if you are careful. It was peaceful and very scenic. I'm glad we stayed there despite a few minor items.A good choice if you'd like to stay in Yachats!
Enjoyed this cottage on our recent winter getaway to the coast! The views and easy access to the beach was unbeatable. The cottage had all the basic necessities for cooking meals, no shortage of towels and the bed was very cozy. While the fire place was out of commission, all the heaters worked and we were pretty warm & cozy!
Wonderful! Checked all the right boxes..wood burning hearth, large picture windows on a high dune with a great view of the ocean, vaulted ceiling , direct beach access and a feeling of privacy.
Loved you can step outside and walk along a 7 mile stretch of beach or hike into Yachats using the 804 trail. The team at the management company were quick to respond and extremely helpful with questions before our arrival. The house was stocked with plenty of towels and the view was wonderful. We really enjoyed our time and plan on returning.

Finally a relaxing vacation.
Great, quite house, that's far enough away from crowds while still being close to towns to be able to run down the road for milk. Everything was clean and well stocked. Communication was complete and well timed.
The only thing that could have been better would be to have sharper knives.

Excellent view and location. The house is in good condition, but the furniture and beds are worn out. Linens were not sized to the beds. Twin sheet on a queen mattress. Kitchen was appropriately stocked.
Great place to watch the waves and skies. Comfortable, though even with heaters it got a little chilly at times (I was informed beforehand that the fireplace was out of action, which seems like a long-term problem as other reviewers have noted it was broken). Some folks in the big house next door took to wandering back and forth in front of the property - not sure it's a public footpath – which was distracting. Would happily stay again.

Don't go
Power was not consistent to electronics. No central heat. Trying to operate electronic space heater didn't always work because the power outlets did not always work. 24 hours prior to our arrival we were told fireplace did not function properly. Yet when we looked there was leftover of burnt wood. We complied and did not use the fireplace to try to keep warm at night.
This property was exactly what I could have ever hoped for -- cozy cottage on the Pacific Ocean. Nice kitchen that was fairly well equipped. BBQ. Comfy beds. Nice bathroom. Laundry. But the best part of our visit was the million dollar view and the gorgeous beach. My one and only complaint is that the stairs if you could call them stairs, down to the beach are VERY TREACHEROUS. No railings, slippery, narrow, tall steps, and dangerous. I made it but they were so scary, I only did it once as I was afraid I would either seriously injure myself or get mud all over my clothes. That being said, the beach was so incredibly beautiful and enjoyable, that it was definitely worth taking my life into my hands to get there. Also, we enjoyed fresh seafood from Newport two nights which we cooked at home and a visit to the aquarium which was delightful. I would definitely return, and the next time I will trespass and go down the neighbor's stairs.

Wouldn’t return due to dangerous beach access!
The house itself was fine but the route to the beach was treacherous and anyone with any disability or mobility problems should mark this off the list. I was only able to reach the beach one time using the private stairs located next door. I have MS and I don’t feel the owners warned us enough about the ability to access the beach. So I enjoyed a beach view but no beach. My husband also fell trying to get up the stone walkway from the beach. Definitely not ADA compliant. The owners need to spend the money and put in a staircase like the neighbors. By the way, don’t try to use the stairs that are on the private property because we were reamed by the owner. There was no heart softening even after my son told the stories of our falls. We are now at CanonBeach staying at a beautiful property that has ramps and easy access to the beach. Heaven after our Yachats experience!
This cottage feels like a cozy stay at your grandma's house. Tucked away from HW101 so you rarely hear highway noise. Comfy chairs on the deck to sit and enjoy the amazing view of the ocean!! Well appointed kitchen. Would consider staying again.
Nice oceanfront home with beautiful view. Kitchen well stocked. Little chilly in the morning. Had space heaters throughout the home. Downstairs bedroom mattress wasn’t too comfortable. Kept rolling towards the middle. We did enjoy our stay.
Very much enjoyed our 3 night stay. Beautiful views, relaxing, quiet (unless the sound of the ocean bothers you). A few annoyances though:
1. Easy to miss the driveway from Highway 101.
2. No early check in allowed. Electronic door lock won’t allow entry before specified time (5pm)
3. The steps leading to the beach are a bit tricky, and there is no handrail. Be careful!
We had a lot of fun at this place. Everything was clean and it was really well stocked for the stay. There are two houses side by side at the end of the drive looks like the owner only rents one at a time, making the stay very nice and private. The whole property is just really cool, the house is really cute the interior trusses and beams just make it have a great feel. The view of the beach is amazing from the house or even sit on the deck. We could see the trail going down to the beach when we booked, that was the reason we chose the house. It is labeled "use at your own risk" but we found it very useable. Would definitely come back again! Just a note the right rear burner on the stove doesn't work, it's probably just an element. Also dead bulb on stove- easy
Wonderful front row seats to watch the winter storm the tides and we really enjoyed the view!
We enjoyed this cozy cottage with front row seats to a very amazing storm system. We are thankful for the little heaters and cozy beds with good blankets. Kitchen was well equipped. Nice big picture window to just sit and meditate on the wonders of the sea.
We had such a great time here, stunning ocean views and exactly the amount of space we needed for just the two of us. We made lots of great memories here. Would definitely stay here again!
