Everything was exactly as pictures showed it! We spent 5 nights here & although the weather was hotter than we like we had the most relaxing 20th Anniversary! We’d love to go back later in the year to experience the cooler temps & Fall colors! Highly recommend!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The cabin was cozy, relaxing and extremely clean. We loved sitting in the dock fishing and hanging out in the screened in porch. Tanya was very easy to reach and responded to our needs quickly. Looking for ward to coming back again!!

Doc's Cabin is a beautiful oasis in southern Illinois! My husband and I had an amazing time catching some bluegills and bass, sitting out on the deck and enjoying the beautiful views! We checked out a few local restaurants and wineries and loved the town! We hope to come back soon when the weather is cool so we can take advantage of the hot tub and fire pit!!! Thank you Tanya for a lovely stay!

We drove 7 hours to stay here and would do it again tomorrow if we could. What a great place to stay. It was hot during our visit, but the ceiling fan on the covered porch helped quite a bit. The main draw for us turned out to be the lake, which we didn't expect. We fished every day and did well enough to keep us casting when the sun wasn't directly overhead. Pedro the donkey was quite entertaining when he was put out on a leash on the opposite side of the lake. The cabin itself was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was very well appointed and we really enjoyed our stay. We can't wait to return.

This is a beautiful and serene property! Tanya and John have made every effort to make this cabin as relaxing as any 5 star resort-except no crowds or screaming kids! lolWe booked early and communication was great throughout the whole process. The cabin is lovely-all the perfect amenities to make a comfy stay. We ate breakfast on the screened porch, spent time by the water, saw a host of beautiful birds and even heard the donkey from across the pond! The canine is air conditioned, and although we didn’t have time to use the hot tub, we hope to book again for exactly that reason! Check-in and check out were super easy. We wanted for nothing during our stay, and left relaxed and happy! Thank you so much!

Doc’s Cabin was the perfect spot for time spent in Shawnee wine country. The host was very accommodating and checked on our needs during the trip. Will definitely try to stay here again next time in the area.

Docs Cabin is a wonderful place to wind down, relax and escape the rat race . You cannot find a place with a better host, meticulously maintained, all the accommodations of home and much more with the hot tub, outdoor enclosed deck, and last but not least, a dock where you can sit and fish.
