This is a very nice, comfortable house and a great host! The picture windows and front porch provide a beautiful, peaceful view of the Tennessee river. The host was welcoming and everything was perfect inside the house.

Great stay. Beautiful property on the TN River just south of Huntsville. Great communication by owners who live just down the street. When I had a problem they came right over and helped. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay and a beautiful view of the river. I have never seen a more well equipted kitchen containing every amenity and appliance you could possibly need. Julia & Craig are the nicest people, they welcome you like family. Definitely a five star Vrbo.

Above and beyond. Last 5 years my family and I have been using VRBO houses and this is the best. The host is great and eager to help. The eggs bread and ham were great for breakfast after our long drive and hadn’t been able to get to store yet. Property is beautiful and quiet. I wish we traveled to this area more often because we would stay here everytime.

This is one of the best VRBO property I have stayed at over the years. Everything is exactly as described and the host was so friendly and thoughtful and made sure every little detail was attended to. She lives nearby and surprised us with farm fresh eggs and her homemade bread and jam. The view of the river from the house is wonderful. Most mornings were spent with coffee on the deck in comfortable chairs watching the boats go by on the river and the birds in all the trees. Nice big grass lawn with a fenced off dog yard accessible from the deck is perfect for dogs. Property is in a nice, very quiet location, very peaceful. Kitchen is well stocked and beds were very comfortable! Instructions on everything in the house (TV's,WiFI, thermostat etc) were all provided. Nice little coffee bar, comfy living room furniture and spacious bathroom. Every single thing in the house worked the whole two weeks we stayed. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!!

This is a beautifully appointed rental, nicely decorated and cozy. Fresh farm eggs and homemade bread were put out for us by the host and it was YUMMY! The hosts were very kind and responsive to the few minor issues we had. They live close by and were Johnny-On-The-Spot with anything you might need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. You will too!

Smooth As Glass was the perfect place to stay for our party's trip to play disc golf in North Alabama. Easy central access to Huntsville, Guntersville, and Decatur made planning easy. The view of the river was exceptional and the amenities inside insured that after a long day outside, we had whatever we needed to prepare food, take care of my dog, or wind down to rest. Thank you so much for providing such a great house for our trip!

Wonderful Stay!

I planned a visit with my brother who lives in the area. These hosts are so wonderful and the property is so nice. This home is well cared for. The hosts left some wonderful treats for us. We slept well in the comfortable beds and enjoyed the beautiful view. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Smooth as Glass chalet. We had the pleasure of meeting Julia and Craig when we first arrived. They were checking to make sure everything was in working order and to drop off homemade bread and some eggs from their chickens. It was such a sweet nice treat to have fresh eggs for breakfast! We look forward to stay there again the next time we are in town. Book here. You will not be disappointed! Cheers.

Dates: Dec. 22- 29, 2026. This was our second time staying at Smooth as Glass while visiting our son, who lives nearby. The house is very comfortable, overlooks the Tennessee River, and is close to the many attractions Huntsville has to offer. Julia is very helpful, and also makes her guests feel very welcome. Upon arrival, she surprised us with a dozen freshly laid eggs, a homemade loaf of bread and a jar of peach preserves. Highly recommended!

Peaceful Getaway!

We had a wonderful time here; it was exactly the quiet getaway we were looking for! Comfortable, clean, and gorgeous views. We did not meet our hosts in person but had great communication through the app. They were so kind and left special welcome gifts for our check-in. even though it’s off the beaten path, it’s not too far from bigger city areas, so there’s plenty to do.

Memorable Stay!

Booked this amazing property for a fishing tournament my husband and I traveled out from California for. The house was clean, charming and well stocked with everything we needed (toiletries, cooking wear, towels, hair dryer, etc.). Julia and Craig were great hosts, very communicative and made us feel welcome with a handwritten card and some local gifts. Thank you Craig and Julia!

A wonderful experience

We have truly enjoyed spending our time in Smooth as Glass Chalet! Julia’s and Craig’s kindness and generosity have been amazing. Wedding weekend

This house was everything that was in the advertisement. It was so nice showing up late in the evening and having outside lighting around chairs and campfire ready for use. The inside was decorated very cozy and had everything and anything yiu could need. I would definitely stay at this ho.e agin. Eay better than staying in a hot anyday and the views of the river and peaceful front porch sittings were wonderful. Thank you so much!campfire ready to go
