Welcome to the beautiful wooded and peaceful area of Schuss Mtn.-Shanty Creek. Great get-away condo with deck overlooking the first fairway of the Schuss Mtn. Golf Course.
Full kitchen with dining area. available. Two bedrooms, one with twin beds, the other a master suite with a private bath and queen size bed.
Very close to golf and downhill ski area at Schuss Mtn., short drive to Shanty Creek ski slopes.
Shanty Creek has restaurants, as well as a bar and grill. Ivan's at Schuss Mtn. is open during ski season.
Internet and TV streaming services via ROKU (Netflix, YouTube TV) are available in the condo.
The indoor pool and hot The Schuss Mtn. indoor pool and hot tub are open only during Golf and Ski seasons.
The condo is a Short drive to Lake Bellaire, Torch Lake, Intermediate Lake, and the Glacial Hills biking trails. Traverse City is about a 45 minutes. The quaint town of Bellaire is home to the famous Short's Brewery Bar & Grill, the newest hotspot in Northern Michigan.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Thermostat to 72 degrees
Wipe the kitchen counters, stove, microwave, refrigerator, and table
Close window shades - gentle pull down Lock door wall and close curtains Be sure key is in the lockbox
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Trailer parking is not allowed in the parking lot. Trailers may be parked behind Ivan's Grill at Schuss Village.
There is no smoking in the condo, on the deck, or on the lawn. The path or parking lot is OK. Dispose of the butt in the trash, not the ground. Thanks

Beautiful view in a great rental

The rental was much better than expected. Very nicely stocked with lots of towels, toiletries, and condiments. Beautifully decorated and awesome views of the golf course and hills. Communication from the owner was fantastic.

The unit was cute and had a ton of privacy. The beds were comfortable and the extra blankets were fantastic in the cold. Tons of storage and space in the unit. The provisions in the kitchen were a nice touch. However, it was not clean. We found an earring, hair tie, etc. The dishes were dirty and the dishwasher was not working properly, so we had to hand wash every single dish before use. The key card did not permit access to the Shanty Creek main pool/hot tub, though the information provided indicated we were welcome to use it. Thankfully someone let us in, as the Schuss Mountain hot tub was closed for the season. However, we discovered that towels are not provided at either of the pools as indicated in the boats information, so we were pretty uncomfortable coming out. Overall the stay was ok, but we would not return.

Great condo on the fairway!

We thoroughly enjoyed Linda's condo. Great watching the golfers tee off and make the turn on the first fairway. The condo was clean, check-in and check-out was easy and Linda answered any questions promptly. We kayaked and golfed the Chief and the Legend; a perfect stay! Would definitely stay here again.

I am a retired educator and now a children's book author with art and music as my hobbies. I have been vacationing at Schuss Mtn. since I was 18 years old. When my children were old enough, we brought them to Schuss for winter skiing. In the summer, we vacationed at Torch Lake and golfed at Schuss and enjoyed the dinner theater performances of the Schussycats. I have many fond memories of my time at Schuss Mountain and I am so pleased to be able to share my happy space with you.

Why they chose this property

I love the skiing at Schuss, not too large, just enough slopes to challenge me or to take it easy. I like the golf course as well, and there are numerous courses to choose from in the area. There are natural wildlife areas nearby as well as the most beautiful lake in Michigan, Torch Lake. Nearby Bellaire is quaint and offers the experience of Short's Brewery, a must-do bar/restaurant in Northern Michigan. The peaceful view during the four seasons is refreshing and relaxing. Come and enjoy this little piece of paradise at my "North Mountain" resort.
