Large privately owned villa, close to beaches
Beautiful detached villa in its own grounds, facing south and the sea. The property has 4 bedrooms, the Master Bedroom has an Emperor Double Bed, 7 foot square and en-suite bathroom, the other 3 bedrooms have twin beds, 2 with en suites and 1 further shower room. The well fitted kitchen is part of a large open plan living area with smart TV with international channels and access to Netflix, prime, Disney+ etc. There is a large secluded terrace with shaded eating area. The plunge pool is a perfect way to cool off on a hot lanzarotian day! Lounge around and relax on the comfy sun beds in the peace and quiet of las margaritas. Our regular guests range from couples who enjoy the space and tranquility, to extended families with children who thoroughly enjoy having a private pool and lots of space to play. Although the villa sleeps 8 people the price is based on 4 guests and then there is an additional cost per extra guest there after. Playa Blanca has so much to offer. A diverse range of restaurants with great views of the sea. Beaches are abundant along the coastline all with clean golden sand. The sea is turquoise and clear. Snorkelling and diving is a popular activity with so much to see. The daily ferry that goes between playa Blanca and fuertaventura not only gives a good opportunity for a day trip but also creates great waves at the village beach for all to play in and enjoy - a kids heaven! The coastline has a walkway for miles so great for a run or walk. If you fancy more of a challenge, there is a mountain to climb close by but good footwear is required as it is fairly rough terrain but it has amazing views from the top! You can pickup an electric scooter to get around or cars are readily available to hire from the airport or the village. The park area within minutes of the villa offers tennis, paddle, basketball, football and kids play park. There are plenty of supermarkets, including a new Lidl and aldi if you enjoy eating in! The villa is minutes walk from the village, restaurants, beaches, harbour and supermarket. Taxis are also a very easy way to get around and easy to pickup in the village.

We first went to Lanzarote in 1979, and fell in love with the island. We bought the land and built CASA COLINA in 1987. The villa has a wonderful feeling of tranquility and as our family grew up we enjoyed many happy holidays in the Casa Colina and Playa Blanca . We were lucky to own some land close by and we built another villa in 2002 where we still holiday and we are now in a position to spend most of the winter in Lanzarote.
We live in the summer in Rutland and Judy, my wife, enjoys her golf and we both love sailing.

Why they chose this property
In our opinion we were so lucky to find this location many many years ago, being on high ground, on possibly the best estate, close to all amenities but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Locations like ours do not exist anymore
We spent a lot of time deciding on a design that gave really good accommodation and a feeling of space. This we achieved.
The quality of build is excellent and the villa today looks as good if not better than when it was built. We are very proud that eighty percent of our bookings are now guests returning for another holiday in Casa Colina.

What makes this property unique
We have never considered CASA COLINA a letting house. We have always thought of it as our house where we have friends and guests to stay many coming back year after year. We have couples who enjoy all the space and tranquility, and families who return regularly. Our mission statement is ' Colina should give you an experience you will remember',and hopefully you will come and visit us again.
