How it was described was not what I got
So first off the neighborhood is very city. So if you are not okay with being around drug addicts this is not ideal. The hosts were very responsive, but the conditions of the property were not what I expected. I did stay for 2 of the 3 planned days because I did not have anymore money to spend on a room. The bed had bed bugs, the smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling wrapped in tin foil, the fired alarm had been tampered with, there was a blood stained pillow in the hall closet and the shower Matt smelled like urine. The entrance to the building was left wide open and unable to be locked. Anyone could walk in and out of the building and the front door was missing a door knob. If you are not picky about where you stay and need some place cheap, this place is very convenient.
This was our first experience with a vrbo and we were just stunned. The place didn't look anything like the vague pictures posted. This place slept/housed 3 people, however it wasn't set up for that. It was myself, my wife, and our 17 year old son. We were there as he was competing in the New Balance Nationals. For starters upon arriving we were locked out and couldnt get in touch with anyone at 1am....if it wasn't for the maintenence guy we'd have never gotten in. The placed hadnt recently been cleaned, everything smelled of paint and things were dirty. I walked from upstairs to the downstairs in white socks and they were black when I sat down on the chair. There was only 1 bath towel for the 3 of us and no hand towels, after requesting more they never came. There weren't enough dishes for the 3 of us for any one thing. The 3rd pillow was in the closet with makeup on it. The neighborhood wasn't the best and there was trash everywhere outside. We called the owners about a ceiling leak after being at the meet all day and coming back to see water everywhere inside the "living room area". They sent the maintenence guy, he was kind. We had nothing to clean the water up with. I suppose the definition of "toiletries" and "cleaning products" can be subjective but we had 1 roll of toilet paper, a small container of pump hand soap, and a little dish soap. There wasn't any cleaning supplies, no broom or dust pan, no kitchen towel or dish rag, just a small roll of paper towel.
