Secluded Mountain-View Modern Cottage with Private Pool - Close to Everything!

Upon reaching Villa Jasmin's impressive wrought iron front gates, there is pleasant stretch up a winding driveway that is surrounded by lush and well tended indigenous greenery on either side, that ends with a lovely cottage at the top. It's set on a hilltop with gorgeous mountain and valley views which stretch up to the ocean. Surrounded by a large, lovingly attended private garden of palm and bamboo trees that includes a fish pond with waterfall.

There is a shaded deck with bar-bq and outdoor seating for 6, that overlooks the stunning, modern swimming pool. Sunbathe on the loungers or just rest and relax in this beautiful, natural setting.

The cottage is over 2000 sf (185 sm) of bright, sunny, air-conditioned living space. It has a huge living and dining area with a 20' vaulted ceiling that is centred around a traditional brick fireplace. There are large sliding doors out to the pool and deck from the dining area.

In the low season, we offer a wood burning fireplace with logs which are provided for our guests to help create a cozy atmosphere. After a day at the golf course it's a nice feature to come home to when the weather is cooling down at night.

It has 2 bedrooms with American Queen-size beds (60" x 80" / 152 cm x 203 cm). Both rooms have ensuite bathrooms with closets for clothing storage. One bathroom has a tub with shower while the other has a deluxe shower featuring seating, music and massage for a lovely end of the day spa!

The cottage is a quick 8-10 minute drive to the town of Loule (all guests must rent a car) and 20 minutes to various beaches, golfing and loads of other activities. Whether your interest might be shopping for local wares such as Portuguese ceramics or leather goods or perusing European boutiques, exploring small towns and seeing sites, discovering the great food Loule and its surrounding areas have to offer, doing sports, finding activities for the kids or just taking the sun at the many beaches that are in the vicinity, this cottage has close proximity to it all!

Solitude and Peace

Fantastic hosts and a wonderful cottage. The location up in the hills but still within a 15 minute drive (5 minutes from Loule) of the coastal resorts gives the best of both worlds. The cottage has no near neighbours so if you are wanting a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of resorts, as we were, this is perfect. There is a plethora of good restaurants within Loule and Almancil within a 10 minute drive and the shopping centre of Mar Algarve gave our fashion conscious daughter a good choice of clothes shops to keep her busy for a couple of hours. I took the opportunity to hire a road bike and the cycling routes up and down the hills right from the door step was better than being in Yorkshire. For what we needed for a holiday this was nothing but perfect and we will be returning in the future.

Countryside Paradise

This home is the perfect example of the "guest house". I could live here full time! It is adjacent to the main house, but the property owner was never seen nor detected. Very private and well appointed, comfortable furniture. The groundskeeper greeted us and gave us a quick walk through upon arrival and then disappeared, not to be seen again. She was nice enough but nothing worse than feeling like you are at someone elses house with them poking up here and there around the grounds - didn't happen here. It is a gated, secure property in the countryside north of Loule'. Easy access to grocery stores, Loule' and the beaches. The dogs that roamed the grounds were a welcome treat, stopping in peiodically to make sure we were ok. For us it was just my wife and myself and while the house can easily accommodate up to four, the kitchen isn't conducive to a large family meal preparation - why would you will all the great restaurants in the area? But it does have a coffee maker, mini refrigerator, microwave and a toaster oven instead of a regular oven. We made due just fine and would not recommend letting that stop anyone from this lovely location. We would not only recommend this to anyone exploring this portion of the Algarve, but will likely stay here again during our next visit.

Villa Jasmin

We loved Villa Jasmin. This was our first trip to Portugal and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The villa is charming, with a lovely outdoors area, great ambiance. We spent one day of our 6 day stay just laying by the pool, barbequing the fish we picked up at the Loule market and enjoying Portuguese wine. Every morning, Rex and Ginger (local friendly dogs) came to visit. We frequently saw them around the property. The location of Villa Jasmin was perfect. We made trips to Evora, Tavira, Faro, Albufiera and Lagos only to arrive back at Villa Jasmin in the evening. We ate twice in Loule, once at Barbacoa and once on a food tour. We highly recommend both. The arrival process was easy and we experienced no issues. Nutan provided good instruction regarding the house, the area and places to visit. We hope to come back some day
