Spend Christmas steps from Downtown Victoria! Walk to our favorite coffee shop, boutiques, restaurants, and bars from this renovated 3 bedroom (4 beds) + 2 baths home sleeps 7. Elevated vintage is your backdrop for this memorable stay. Minutes from Downtown Excelsior, Chaska, and Waconia!

A holiday winter wonderland awaits. Gather with friends or family at the harvest table for Christmas, relax in the walk-in shower / tub room, melt into our comfortable beds. Perfect for wedding guests, girls weekends, adventure seekers, and visitors to Paisley Park and Waconia Wineries. Victoria's motto is the city of lakes and parks and yes there are many lakes and trails to explore. For bike enthusiasts the trailhead is just across the street and will lead you to Carver Park Reserve, Lake Minnetonka, Excelsior, and beyond. There are also numerous public golf courses within a 10 mile radius of the house. Not bad!

The entire home interior was renovated in February 2024. Each room is outfitted with new bedding, furniture, and furnishings. The elevated vintage design highlights the home's original charm while ensuring guests are comfortable in every room.

It is hard to miss the large fully-stocked kitchen and coffee bar on the main level. Just past the kitchen you can nestle up on the couch in the living room and enjoy movies on the 65 inch TV, or get some work done at the workstation. Adjacent is the dining room with a large harvest table suitable for games, puzzles, visiting, and eating of course. Walk through the original swing door back into the kitchen to freshen up your drinks. Off the front of the house is a 3-season porch perfect for that cup of morning coffee or just a place to lounge in the afternoon. The mudroom off the back of the kitchen is the perfect place to drop your shoes and coats.

Upstairs is the living quarters. Three fully renovated bedrooms and a huge bathroom with walk-in shower, soaker tub, and full laundry. The primary bedroom offers a king bed, workstation, and walk-in closet. The middle bedroom has a queen bed, closet and dresser, and the third bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed and closet.

The heated garage is situated in the back of the house. It is oversized and can fit two vehicles for no extra charge.

During your stay guests can use the entire house, garage and backyard. The only exception is a utility room in the basement that is typically locked and the only room that is not accessible.

We live 2 miles away and know the area well! Do not hesitate to reach out if you want recommendations for where to go, what to do, or any general questions about your stay.

For emergencies, our direct contact info is listed on a welcome sign in the kitchen. Otherwise the VRBO chat feature is the best way to communicate with us.

A pack and play is available upon request.

Month long stays require a mid-stay clean that the guest pays for (in other words, a second cleaning fee).

Highly Recommend! Built in 1900 and beautifully remodeled, the best of both worlds (history and comfort). It is perfectly located to walk to wherever you need to go; restaurants, bar, ice cream parlor, or neighborhood walking trails. We will definitely be back.

Family wedding weekend

We had a great time staying at The Heron House. The location is close to great restaurants within walking distance. We were close to Woodland Glasshaus at Bavaria Downs, where our niece was getting married. It was a great place to gather our family with our adult children. The perfect home away from home

We absolutely loved our stay at The Heron House! The communication and check in/out instructions were simple and easy. The home was fully stocked with just what we needed, and included games and books which our kids loved! Elevated vintage is the perfect way to describe the home — it’s so warm and cozy. We loved the walkability to downtown Victoria for morning coffees, dinners, and ice cream. We will absolutely be back!

Wedding weekend

I stayed here with my bridesmaids the night before my wedding and my husband the night of our wedding. This house is charming and very well kept. Brooke was fantastic and was very helpful. She even left us a card and Prosecco to celebrate which was a thoughtful touch. I have stayed here previously with a friend and both experiences were awesome. I would definitely recommend!

Girl's wknd in nearby Waconia was our mission-& only a 10 min. travel (tops). 5 of us. House was adorable, everything newly renovated, very clean & offered all that you could need. Beds were comfy. Coffee bar was a nice bonus. :) Hostess was accommodating & awesome with communication. Stone's throw to charming town of Victoria-next time we will spend more time touring Victoria's offerings! Great Time in Minnesota

A group of friends traveled out to Minnesota for our friends engagement party at his Fiance's parents house. This property was in a great location next to some really cool spots (indoor mini golf and across the street!). Brooke was very responsive to questions and messages and the house was in great condition when we arrived. I would absoltely book this property again if I found myself traveling to the area.

Everything about the home is thoughtful and charming. We enjoyed the coziness, character & welcoming spaces this historic home offered. It was impeccably clean, and the beds and pillows were cozy and luxe. The large bathroom upstairs with the soaking tub was a favorite place to rest and restore. The close proximity to downtown Victoria (coffee shops, boutiques & restaurants) made it a perfect spot for a girls trip. The communication with the host was clear and prompt. Absolutely Magical Stay in Victoria, Minnesota! Our fall getaway to Victoria, Minnesota, was nothing short of incredible, and staying at this VRBO was the cherry on top! From the moment we stepped into the house, we were enchanted—the decor was beyond adorable! Every little detail felt thoughtfully curated, making the space not just cozy, but charming in a way that made us smile every moment we were there. Honestly, we’re convinced Pinterest could take notes from this place!The location was perfect for exploring all that Victoria has to offer. We spent an afternoon wandering the stunning Minnesota Landscape Arboretum (highly recommend), browsed some delightful shops in town, and even dipped our toes in the local lakes. Returning to the house was always a joy—it was our warm, wonderful haven that made our trip feel truly relaxing and refreshing.We loved playing games from the shelf (shoutout to Headbands for all the laughs—we may or may not have gotten overly competitive!). The house had a vibe that made it easy to unwind, reconnect, and just be.
