Thank you for your feedback. I would be interested in knowing specifically what items needed attention since we are not local. feel free to share details with our property manager Alaska First Realty. Also, it is a common problem on the Kenai River for locals to say they know the owner so they can fish. We have signs on the property as well as in the cabins informing guests that there are no friends of the owner who are permitted to fish and to call local authorities if they refuse to leave. From your review, I would infer the trespassers got us the one star review as your other comments suggest a much higher rating. Thank you for booking with us and we hope you will consider our property again in the future.
The owner is always walking around you and controlling/telling you what to do. It didn't feel like we were on vacation because of how the man would snoop around us and our things. They charge people for cleaning and nobody cleans. I would love to come back because it is a beautiful place, but the atmosphere and some people just don't complete the nature. If you don't people like that, then it's a wonderful place to stay.
Nice place to stay. No issues. Host was very friendly outgoing. Location is nice. Washer and dryer were on site which helped tremendously. Saw mama moose with 2 babies right outside the cabin. No complaints highly recommend.
Transaction was super easy, check in was seamless. Property is simple but excellent. This is my second time here and will not hesitate to come back in the future. My elderly dad came with me and he said it's his favorite spot to fish for the access and solitude. I've become friendly to some people nearby which has been immensely enjoyable and a great learning opportunity for fishing the river. I hope to come back again next season and hopefully say hi to Larry and catch a few fish.
Excellent.
Water control in shower is a bit delicate, but once dialed in...you're warm. 😄
Great location in Soldotna; close to great hikes and professional fishing excursions. Home was very simple, but had basic necessities for getaway. This unit was on second floor only requiring two flights of stairs for access.
Location was perfect for fishing trips both off site and off the fishing dock at the river on the property. Appreciated the on-site washer, dryer, and freezer. Light on cooking equipment but had a small fridge and the basics needed for a few days stay. Would stay here again.
Great location on the Kenai with easy fishing access
The cabins are a short distance from the main drag in Soldotna, offering quick access to grocery, gas, tackle and fish processing.
Overall, the cabin was comfortable for two guys. Two separate bedrooms that can accommodate more, but the kitchen area is small, so would be harder to handle more.
As with most cabins on the Kenai, the kitchen is limited, so the ability to grill with a charcoal Weber grill was great. Besides, I don't like to have the smell of salmon in the cabin...
Had some questions for the owner/management company, and they responded immediately and resolved.
Washer/Dryer and freezer were awesome and utilized!
I would stay here again.

Good location, quiet, clean, economical.
My stay was in late winter. The stairs were largely covered with a thick layer of ice & snow, frozen to the carpet covered stair treads. The steep roof does not shelter the stairs but sheds great heaps of wet snow which freezes hard at night. Metal grill style treads that could allow snow & ice to pass thru might help. Or, a roof extension could be considered. It would be good to provide a snow shovel & ice chipper.
One bedroom had no light & all the bulbs above the bathroom mirror were dead!! Total of 4 dead bulbs. No spares on hand. Soon a 5th burned out.
It would sure help if a mop were available.
Over all I enjoyed my stay & delt with any shortcomings. It is likely that I will stay there again.

Great Value for price. Nothing fancy but sufficient!
Everything was good except we could not get the heater to work. Also a few more plates would be nice.

Great
We had 6 people in cabin#2 below, but saw that the upstairs cabin#3 was available for a few days while we were here, so were able to spread out and have a little bit more space for everyone. Upstairs was clean and we enjoyed the beds

Simple, nice cabin
We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable. The property manager was responsive
to supplying some basic kitchen wares which were needed. Not a riverfront property but we
did not anticipate having a view of the Kenai River. It was very handy to have the washer and
dryer for a one week stay.
