This home is lovely and in a beautiful location for walking to the beach and bike riding. We love the vineyard and have been renting here for over 20 years. The house has everything you might need, but it just felt a little dated for the price we paid compared to other rentals we've had. I wonder if this was
This was our 42nd straight summer on the Vineyard, and the most pleasant stay in the most beautiful part of the island. Our host, Leslie, is super-friendly and responsive, the house is well-stocked with everything from kitchen wares to books and games. Unlike many rentals, the plumbing actually works, there are blinds on the bedroom windows, bedding and towels are provided (and plentiful). We didn't use the outdoor grill, but I bet it's smashing. Most highly recommended.
Location is hard to beat at this price! So close to South Beach. My daughter and I loved going for walks to the beach every day. Just 5 min drive to downtown Edgartown, and 10 min to Oak Bluffs. House is much bigger than it looks in pics. Bathrooms are updated and very clean. Yard is spacious and our dog loved exploring and napping under the trees. The house is in a neighborhood but feels private and secluded. Leslie was a pleasure to work with and made the process so easy!
We completely enjoyed our 1-week stay and would definitely come back again. Leslie was very responsive to our questions and knowledgeable with good advice for how to get the most out of our first stay on Martha's Vineyard. The home was very comfortable for a family of 4 - our kids each had their own bedroom and our master room was very spacious. The dining and living area had plenty of room for us for meals and relaxing during the day. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and on the gas grill on the porch and everything worked - we lacked nothing. The house had everything we needed to enjoy the beach - towels, folding chairs, boogie boards, water guns, etc., which was close by and easy to access. The house is in a neighborhood, but surrounded by shrubs/woods, so it felt private - we enjoyed the deck outside and walking our dog in the yard. The location close to Edgartown, but outside of the traffic there was perfect.
The location of the house is fantastic! We loved South Beach. It was about a 4 minute drive and there was always parking near the beach. It is walkable but with 2 kids and my elderly mother driving worked best. The house is a short drive to good, quick food at the Katama General Store and an easy drive to the main area of Edgartown. The house is clean and well stocked. No AC but with windows open it was totally fine. My only small complaint is the bedding and towels (at first we couldn’t find towels (they were in the dryer) and it was unclear if the top bunk sheets were changed). No biggie, just a heads up! The house was bigger than expected! Two of the bedrooms are very large. Great bathrooms. Thanks for a great time!
Such a cute gem in Edgartown right by south beach! The neighborhood is great & we took many early morning and mid afternoon walks exploring the boat docks and water views. Leslie was extremely helpful & responsive which we really appreciate in a homeowner! The house was perfect for our family & the cool breeze at night being right by the water was great. At first I was a little worried about the no ACs but it was just fine & we even stayed during a crazy humid stretch. We loved the deck/back yard and got so much use out of it. Although the yard is not fenced in the trees/foliage create what feels like a fenced in space which was great for our dog & created a ton of privacy. It was so nice to also have a house that provided linens and towels & the extra beach chairs were so convenient! The master bedroom was big enough for us to put a kids air mattress and a pack & play for both of our little ones. The bathrooms were clean & spacious. Definitely a great place to stay!
We had a wonderful time staying at this house. I liked the layout location and privacy. Plenty on room to move around and the yard is perfect for playing with the dog or just hanging out.
I would come back again for sure!

This rental is great place to bring your dog and hang out with some friends. The house has a good set-up with two spacious rooms and separate bath upstairs and a main master downstairs with an ensuite half bath. There is also a great outdoor shower that my husband loved. The outdoor space is perfect for having room for our dog to play with the ball and the house is on a quiet dead end street. We loved the firepit area too. Also, it is very close to the Barrens Huckleberry Preserve which was a great spot to walk our dog. Also, the owner Leslie was a pleasure to work with. Overall wonderful stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. A great location, easy walking/biking distance to South Beach and the Trustees of Reservations beach, so our adult kids could come and go to the beach at will. At the same time, it was close enough to Edgartown to zip in for anything we wanted. (We went by car, but we could have biked.) The house had everything we needed and was perfect for our family of 5 adults and one medium-sized dog. The listing was accurate, and the host, Leslie, was very responsive. We'd definitely stay there again :-)
House as described. Perfect location for our trip including proximity to South Beach , bike trails, and Edgartown. Quiet private lot. Bedroom arrangement perfect for our family. House well stocked with all the necessities . Leslie promptly responded to our questions. I recommend this house and would be glad to stay there again
Wonderful property. Well appointed. We loved the location - close to town, bay and beach. Incredibly responsive and generous owner. Would gladly recommend and return.
Our stay was terrific. The house had all the amenities we needed and more. We loved cooking in the stocked kitchen, barbecuing and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. We enjoyed being somewhat secluded while still close to beaches and anything we needed in the island. We also appreciated Lesley’s swift response when we ran into a small snag with the WiFi, and all worked great from there. Would love to come back!
We really enjoyed this house. It had plenty of amenities, was in a great location and overall just a great place to stay with kids. Thank you!

Amazing location, wonderful experience!
Many thanks to Leslie for a fabulous visit! The house was perfect for our family. The location was ideal - we rode our bikes to the beach and to Edgartown for dinner. Leslie responded to our few questions quickly. We felt welcomed from the minute we set foot on the island!

Clean, comfortable property in a great location has everything you need for a wonderful vacation.
We planned a last-minute vacation to MV and found this property was available. Booking was easy, owners were wonderful to work with, house was bigger than expected with plenty of space for our family where our teenagers had their own floor including full bathroom. Beautiful backyard and deck, well-stocked and roomy kitchen, large family room and master bedroom including bathroom, plus use of their boogie boards, bikes, and chairs, this property had everything we needed for a great vacation!

Awesome Beach House!
We usually stay at the Cape for a week & decided to try the Vineyard instead & we are so glad we did! This house has everything you would want. We were a group of 5 adults & there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook - but we also enjoyed some great restaurants! The beds were comfortable (unlike other rentals we have had in the past). Being within walking distance to the beach was a huge plus. We hated having to go home when our week was over!

Perfect stay!
Let me start by saying that I have had the chance to stay at several homes on the vineyard over many years. This home is truly our favorite!
Relaxed, well appointed, clean and pretty, it is close to everything we wanted to do. Beach, fishing, hiking, boating, restaurants, shops...wish we could have stayed longer!!

Why they chose this property
Our summer (and spring and fall) home was passed down to my husband and me and we hope to pass it down to our daughters when the time comes. Our Katama house is our little slice of heaven. Once we get on the ferry, we find ourselves immediately relaxing, and we love being at the house. Our stress of the day to day back home in suburban Boston is gone, and we thoroughly enjoy island life when we are here.
What makes this property unique
I love sitting and reading on the deck, and if it's quiet, I can hear the crashing waves in the distance.
