About this property
An attractive, comfortable converted barn close to the sites of the Dordogne
This property has been lovingly restored, with accommodation to sleep up to ten people. It consists of three double bedrooms, one of which is downstairs, a twin room and the fourth family room consisting of a double and two single beds, two shower rooms (one of which is en-suite and also one which is downstairs) and a bathroom.
The Ground Floor is open-plan with fully-equipped lounge, kitchen and dining areas. The surrounding courtyard and land provide a choice of areas for dining outside, for which a barbecue is provided. T
There is a good size pool of 8 x 4.5 x 1.2m partly built in to the ground at one end for ground level accessibility with decking and secure for small children.
This peaceful, remote setting in the heart of the Périgord Noir, is positioned on the outskirts of a charming village, St Laurent La Vallée, which possesses a delightful Bar/Restaurant and a very useful general store. Close to other villages with useful facilities and shops.
The surrounding countryside brings many opportunities for outdoor activities, such as walking, cycling, hot-air ballooning, fishing, golf, horseback riding, canoeing and swimming.
The property is well positioned for visiting the many local historical attractions, not forgetting the vineyards of Bergerac.
Heating: There is a large wood burner in the open-plan area downstairs which heats the ground floor extremely well, logs can be provided. There are also electric heaters in the bedrooms which provide sufficient heating in the colder periods.
For letting periods where heating is required, there is a minimum charge of €50 per week depending on number of people staying/rooms being used.
