Bearidise is a very quaint and cozy cabin with great porches overlooking the river. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and accommodating. It’s located very close to the John C. Campbell School which was great since I had a week long class. We found good restaurants nearby and enjoyed our evenings dining out and sitting on the porch. Definitely would visit again.

The property was neat, clean, well located right on the creek. There were no dish towels, so if you washed any dishes by hand, you had to dry them with paper towels. There was no information sheet or checkout instructions.

Peaceful Area and Very Clean Cabin

My wife and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary by staying at "Bearadise" cabin and attending the John C. Campbell Fall Festival. The cabin is in a great location, on Brasstown Creek, and close to the Folk School. It was as described in the VRBO listing, was very clean and tidy, and the owner was very responsive to any questions we had. We will return to this cabin a some point in the future.

Tranquility

This was a great place to stay while we attended the John Campbell school. The cabin was clean, well maintained and perfectly located on a stream with a babbling creek. The surrounding are quiet and surrounded by trees. Hope to return again.

One of the best homes we have stayed at

The cabin is everything it claims to be. It was clean, well stocked, great layout and just plain comfortable. My husband had a class at John C Campbell and I just hung out enjoying the quiet time. Suzanne was a delight to work with. I can honestly say this was one of the best homes we have stayed in and I'm already looking forward to our next trip to Brasstown.

Relaxing

I have stayed at this cabin several times and this stay was wonderfully relaxing. The wind, the birds chirping, and the flowing stream eased my stress. The cabin is lovely and exactly as described in the listing. I am very thankful and grateful to be able to spend time here.

Cabin by the creek

We certainly enjoyed our stay in the mountains in this lovely cabin. It made a great home base for our daily ventures exploring the surrounding areas. We especially enjoyed sitting in the rockers on the back porch drinking our morning coffee and listening to the rolling creek. The cabin was very clean, comfortable, and had everything there that we needed for our week stay. Would love to come back in the future with our family. Thank you Suzanne!

A Gem in the Woods

I have stayed at Bearadise cabin several times. I have always enjoyed my stay there. The location is ideally located for so many activities, especially the John C. Campbell Folk School. The surroundings are beautiful and so very quiet. I like this after a long day at the Folk School or touring around the countryside. The cabins is quite comfortable and nicely furnished. Every time I go through the front door, I feel as if I’ve returned home. Suzanne, the owner, is very easy to contact for questions that might arise and is quick to respond. I don’t think I could ask for better accommodations. I know that I will be back.

Most amazing cabin

The self check in was flawless. Great instructions from owner. The cabin is much better than the pictures, which is always a pleasant surprise. It would be hard to capture the privacy, view & serenity of this place. There are only 2 other cabins on the street so it feels like you are on your own estate with a stream & deer right off your porch. There is no one looking in at you. The fireplace is great & makes the cabin very cozy. There was a little issue with the tv but Suzanne got back to me & she’s easy to reach. II was at the John C Campbell folk school for the week which is a 5 minute drive door to door. That’s my only regret that I didn’t get enough time to spend in the cabin. If you are a tub person there is a fabulous jet tub which is heavenly. A perfect place to stay. You will be wanting to return again & again, I will definitely be back.

Class at Campbell Folk school; downtime for spouse.

LOCATION: Bearadise is beautifully located in all ways; it is actually on a good size creek, so one gets to hear the water; beautiful sound; to Campbell-Brasstown 4 mi.; to Murphy, 8mi; Tenn 40 where so many creeks/rivers come together for fantastic rafting. The Nantahala & Park is right there- wonderful for rafting experience. Brasstown has Bluegrass Bands periodically-monthly; we were lucky to catch one at the Community Center just across from Campbell. Murphy had a Spring Festival on Sat. The Valley along 74 is surrounded by stunning views of the mountains. RESPONSE: Suzanne responded to our queries immediately each time. CABIN: A great 2 BR cabin- sitting balcony for BR upstairs, so a second couple - kids could have space not in the living room area. Porches were great. The area around cabin was very nice- easy to go sit at edge of creek. Firepit also nice-wood available. We could sit on the porch looking at the creek forever:) The kitchen was nice; fireplace-wood available. Towels Kitchen stocked with dishes, pots, towels etc. Fridge- Glass top range full size. BRs good size. Furniture on porch very comfortable! Might need to bring some folding chairs if wanting to sit out by the creek. There is a nice big rock. We were told there are trout, but we did not fish. Just the sound of the water alone did it for us. Exploring: the area is loaded with arts and crafts of significant quality; restaurants in Murphy fine. We hope to return, both to cabin & Campbell.

As a retired nurse and proud mother of six grown children, seven wonderful grandchildren, and one sweet great-grandchild, my life has always been full of love and adventure. My husband and I are now empty nesters, enjoying the quiet beauty of our cattle farm in South Carolina. Though the farm keeps us busy, we found our hearts drawn to the mountains, and that's how we discovered our beloved Bearadise Cabin.

Nestled along the peaceful Brasstown Creek, this cabin has become our little slice of heaven. We’ve loved it so much that we decided to share it with others through VRBO. Over the years, we've had the pleasure of hosting many wonderful guests who, like us, appreciate the tranquility and charm of this mountain retreat.

Bearadise Cabin is more than just a rental to us; it's a place where memories are made, whether it’s enjoying a cup of coffee by the creek or exploring the beauty of the surrounding mountains. We feel blessed to be able to offer this special place to others and look forward to welcoming you to experience the peace and comfort that Bearadise has brought to our family.

Why they chose this property

We chose this cabin because it’s nestled in an area our family has always loved visiting. The location offers the perfect blend of privacy and accessibility, with paved roads and a paved driveway ensuring year-round access. One of the highlights of the property is the 312 feet of Brasstown Creek frontage right in the backyard, offering beautiful views and the opportunity to go fishing.

What we love most about this area is the peacefulness it provides. The back deck overlooks the creek, where you can enjoy your morning coffee while listening to the calming rush of the water. Whether you're relaxing by the creek, fishing, or gathering around the fire pit, the natural beauty of the surroundings creates the perfect escape.

The neighborhood around Bearadise Cabin is equally special. It’s secluded enough to offer a sense of retreat, yet close to local attractions like the John C. Campbell Folk School, scenic hiking trails, and charming local shops. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventures or a quiet getaway, the area offers the best of both worlds.

It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, reconnect with nature, and make lasting memories.

What makes this property unique

Bearadise Cabin stands out with its prime creekfront location, allowing guests to fish or simply relax by the water from the spacious back deck. The cabin offers year-round access with paved roads and a driveway, providing both convenience and a peaceful, secluded retreat. Its central location makes it an ideal base for exploring the area while offering a serene environment to unwind. This combination of natural beauty, comfort, and accessibility makes Bearadise Cabin truly unique.
