This place was AMAZING! Perfect spot right on the river! We even caught a giant Salmon to enjoy for my birthday dinner right from our back yard there was more than enough space for everyone. It was comfortable and beautiful and a great place for families. The hosts were great communicators and very accommodating. We will definitely be back

This was the perfect property for our family vacation. The home and bunk house provided enough space for everyone to feel like they had their own private space, and enough room to come together. The proximity to the river was amazing, and really made us feel connected to nature. The water was refreshing on hot days and we loved seeing the fish jumping out of the water. Despite having no A.C the interior stayed comfortable and the fans really helped to keep air circulating. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything you need for cooking meals inside, and the grill was a highlight for evenings spent outdoors. Communication was lightning fast and always cordial which we appreciated. We would definitely return again. Thank you!!

Amazing space

We absolutely loved this property, it feels remote while also being so close to so much. We thoroughly enjoyed the creek access and hot tub, as well as the big open living space. We’d absolutely stay again!

The location of this property makes is the best part. Complete privacy. Short walk to the river behind the cabin. The back patio felt cozy and gave us a great place to hangout in the evenings.

Wonderful home! Very roomy and had everything that we needed and the home was well cared for. Good, responsive communication. The hot tub was a special treat after a day of skiing. Loved the location with the river you can hear from the backyard. And not too far from the ski slopes either! We will be back! Thank you!

Amazing safe haven

The best place if you want to get away from it all! In the woods, by the river, away from neighbors! Huge property, lots of space to play and sit by the fire. River just a few steps away. House / beds are comfortable, pretty and safe. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

We enjoyed our three nights on the Sandy River. The house is very comfortable, spacious, and clean. The large kitchen is supplied with good quality cookware and lots of basics like oil and seasonings. Wifi was consistent and strong. We missed having reading lamps next to the beds and sofa. Although we stayed there during a hot spell and the house wasn't air conditioned, the fans kept us cool. The deck was great for morning coffee as well as dinners outside. The short walk to the river requires a bit of careful stepping over the rocks, but it's a great spot by the rushing water to watch birds.

Wonderful stay

We had a great experience staying here in August 2024. The house is recently updated and had everything we needed and more. The separate "bunkhouse" was a bonus. Spent a lot of time along the river and in the hot tub. There was a county-wide fire ban this summer, so we didn't get to enjoy the fire pit, but we thoroughly enjoyed everything else the property had to offer. When we had a question, the host was very responsive. Much appreciated. Overall, we had a great time and would stay here again!

The property was nice, quiet and clean. The river was not quite as close as I expected and we had to climb down a few rocks to get to the water, but it was definitely doable. It was very pleasant to sit at the river's edge - made for some nice photos. Could use screens on some of the windows (kitchen, side door, downstairs bedroom). Would have been nice to have cushions on the outdoor seating area (as pictured). I don't know if the separate building (sleeping area) was included. I couldn't find a key or any information on the website. Overall, we had a nice relaxing visit at the Sandy River Retreat.

Overall place is cute & relaxing. However, river not safe for kids. Pictures were not all accurate, much smaller in person. Beds were ok. No AC so be prepared. Additionally, there were some items damaged so I let them know asap. We did what we could with what we had. The hot tub needed to be cleaned but try telling four kids no...lol. no cusions on fire pit seats. Overall, we were safe, relaxed, and enjoyed the peacefulness of the river sound.
