About this property

HOME RUN - Experience Year-Round Bliss at our Bear Valley Ski Retreat!

Important notes to potential guests:
*Getting around in winter requires riding in snowmobile trailers (no suspension), skiing and walking on snowy roads. Lifting bags, dogs, kids, etc. into and out of a trailer with waist high sides will be necessary. This has been challenging for anyone with strength or mobility issues. Staying with us in the summer is a great way to enjoy this space without the challenges that come with winter access.

**New Ownership, new cleaning staff, extensive rebuild of the deck.

***We will be using the downstairs apartment from time to time, as we also enjoy skiing and playing in the mountains. This is a separate space from upstairs with a separate entry. You might see us walk by on the deck.

-Bear Valley Ski Resort (Village Cabin)
-Located on Home Run ski run
-Brominated/chlorinated jacuzzi
-Recently rebuilt and expanded deck (Summer, 2023)
-New cleaning staff
-Amenities listed at the end
-Dogs allowed (please walk them off the deck for pee and poo)

Nestled in the woods, walking distance from Bear Lake beach in the summer and offering ski-in/ski-out access in the winter, our charming cabin is the perfect year-round escape. Designed with comfort and convenience in mind, this two-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom haven offers the amenities you need for a relaxing and memorable stay.

Step inside to find a well appointed kitchen with a breakfast bar, perfect for morning coffee or quick meals. The large dining room table seats 10, inviting you to gather for meals and game nights with friends and family. The spacious family room, complete with a wood-burning fireplace, games, books, and records, is ideal for cozy evenings in. An additional upstairs living space provides a tranquil spot to unwind or can serve as an extra sleeping area with two single guests.

Each bedroom is appointed with plush beds, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of adventure. Our full bath is thoughtfully designed with separate zones, allowing multiple guests to use it simultaneously in comfort and privacy.

Outside, our newly expanded 600 square foot, 280-degree wrap-around deck offers spectacular panoramic views. One side of the deck features a Jacuzzi, perfect for soaking under the stars, while the other side provides ample space for outdoor dining and socializing in any season.

During the winter months, the cabin’s location directly on the Home Run ski run means you can ski straight to your door after a day on the slopes. All roads are groomed, offering a seamless ski-in/ski-out experience. For added convenience, a Snow Taxi service is available to transport your gear to the cabin.

Immerse yourself in the charm of a European Ski Chalet-style village, where a welcoming local community and a variety of activities await. Whether you're here to enjoy the sun and sand in the summer or the thrill of the slopes in the winter, our cabin is the perfect base for your Bear Valley adventure.

About the host

Hosted by Javan Bryant

Host profile image
This cabin is hosted by a small group of friends that live in San Francisco. We wanted a place to call our own to unwind, hike, ski, snowboard, and fish! We hope that you enjoy the cabin as much as we do. We bought this property for our use, and we are happy to share it with others when we cannot get up there.

Why they chose this property

In the summer it is a perfect place to drive up, park, and spend all weekend biking around the village, hiking trails, and sailing/canoeing around the lake.

In the winter, we enjoy skiing down to the village and grabbing the shuttle to the ski resort. For lunch we ski straight home from the resort, eat, and ski back down the shuttle. At the end of the day, we ski home and have a soak in the hot tub.

It's pretty much everything I wanted in a cabin.

What makes this property unique

Our cabin is well cared for and our own home away from home. We keep it well-appointed because we use everything there. A lot of owners fill their rental with inexpensive throw-away furniture, but we strive to offer a warm, welcoming feel. Some of our favorite things are up there because we want to feel at-home when we visit instead of feeling like we are in a hotel. This warmth is there to greet our guests as well and we hope that our anyone who stays enjoys it as much as we do.
