It was a great cabin set up for our little family getaway. We didn’t stay in the cabin too much during our stay since we were mostly out hiking all day, but coming home to the hot tub was amazing. It was also nice to have a full kitchen to prepare our meals for the day

Very smooth trip. Everything is cut and dry and easily available. Definitely worth the trip
Nice location, close to the gorge and we loved going to Toad’s right down the street. We appreciated that it was pet friendly! Just a few small quirks to the property that we would have expected to be a bit better maintained for the price. Overall a nice weekend!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We're so glad you enjoyed the location, had the opportunity to visit Toad's, and that you and your pet were able to enjoy your weekend with us.
We also appreciate your feedback regarding the property's maintenance. Guest comments like yours are invaluable, and we'll share them with our team and the homeowner as we continue to make improvements and ensure the cabin meets our guests' expectations.
Thank you again for staying with us. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for another relaxing getaway in the future!
check in was easy, everything that was promised was in good shape. For us the hot tub is the most important. we love the location and of course it is dog friendly. this was our second stay and plan on returning.
We are thrilled to know that you enjoyed every aspect of your stay at Hidden Ridge! Thank you for the wonderful review and we hope to see you again for a future stay!
There were mice and they did leave their droppings on the counter, there was a large collection of mold in one of the cabinets, if you have a large party the hot water does run out after one shower. On the plus side there were A LOT of coffee filters (no need to bring your own as suggested), and the hot tub was nice.

Thank you for your feedback.
We’re sorry to hear about the concerns you mentioned, as this is not the experience we aim to provide. However, none of these issues were brought to our attention during your stay, and we would have been happy to address them promptly if we had known.
This cabin is designed to accommodate up to four guests, and the hot water system is sized for that capacity. It should perform properly under normal use, but we will have our team check it to ensure everything is working as it should.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will review these items with our housekeeping and maintenance teams.
Beautiful, comfortable home, surrounded by trees and felt very private. Great location to all the major sites in the area and easy to reach via higheay.

Thank you for the kind feedback! We hope that you come back and stay with us again!
All aspects were very excellent. The only exception was the front door rubbing hard on the floor at the bottom. Watching the wildlife was very enjoyable. Our mini goldendoodle did not want to leave.

If you want to get away for a reasonable price this is it, only thing lacking was lack of wifi but honestly not a huge deal and i personally had great service so i could make up for it no problem.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! This cabin is simply cozy without lots of frills. Hope you'll come back and visit again.
First off, the Gorge is a beautiful place to hike, I can’t wait to go back. This cabin is beautiful, there are a few steep inclines to get to it, but passable in my car. We enjoyed the hot tub, and fire pit. Another plus, bringing our dog. My 9 year old lab had a blast.

Loved the location the overall property needs maintenance! My husband busted his toe on a board by the hot tub and the decking fell through on the steps, the mice poop was nasty in the kitchen drawers where the utensils are and the cabin was dirty!
Unfortunately there are no road signs for this road, took several times, only because of the volunteer fire department were we able to find it. Cabin was nice, pictures shown must have been when it was new, door was swollen to wear it drags hard on the wood floor. And under the kitchen sink was yucky. Not recommended for 2 large old dogs to go potty on a steep hillside. But all in all, it was very nice a cozy for 1 to 2 couples. Farley close to everything, unfortunately we couldn’t experience the whole hiking trip because one of our shepherds got really sick and had to leave a day early. But we’d definitely return (without the dogs) the owners were very nice and quick to respond and understanding for our early departure.

2/10 Terrible

As soon as we pulled into the driveway and saw the property, we realized it was not represented correctly on the web site. The long staircase leading to the cabin was broken and dangerous. And when we walked into the cabin, it stunk like a moldy, damp basement. We used the restroom facilities and immediately vacated the property. We called the management company and told them we would not be able to stay in the property due to health concerns, and they assured us we would receive a refund, but they have yet to issue it. I would definitely not recommend this property to anyone!

There was mouse feces in most of the cupboards in the kitchen and there was mold growing in lower cupboards. When I opened the cabinet with the mold in it, it triggered an asthma attack and I had to go outside to breath fresh air. The outdoor electric grill was filthy with the remains of what someone previously had cooked and was very greasy. So I could not cook anything that day when I arrived and I had brought all my own food to cook so I would not have to go find a restaurant. There aren't very many places to eat out because Slade, Ky is remote with little or no restaurants. It advertised a gas fireplace which did not work. I did not stay the rest of the scheduled trip in this cabin. The manager was extremely helpful in finding me a new place to stay the next day so I moved to a different cabin which was excellent and clean! I am not sure if it was a VRBO cabin.
