Please note: this home is located in an older, blue-collar neighborhood near Lackland AFB. Many homes in the area are older, and several neighbors are long-time residents, including disabled veterans. The neighborhood is not a luxury subdivision, but the location is extremely convenient for families attending Lackland events.
The kitchen is equipped for simple family meals. It includes basic cookware and utensils suitable for easy cooking with items such as the crock pot, air fryer, and basic stovetop use. There are plenty of glasses, dishes, and silverware for up to 12 guests. The home also includes a coffee maker that can brew a full pot or single cup, along with a beverage/wine cooler to keep drinks cold.
There is no dishwasher. Guests are expected to wash used dishes, cookware, and utensils before checkout.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
There is cleaning towels, liquids under sink. Broom, dust pan, mop and vacuum in the cleaning closet. On shelf you'll find large old towels for spillage.
Use shopping plastic bags for the poop scooper.Trash it in the brown can.Poop on yard is a $100 charge.Please move brown can to the curb opposite side of the mailbox if you are checking out Friday.
No food on couch, beds. Do not clean floors or other surfaces with the white towels from bathroom. Use the gray reusable pads to remove make up. You'll be charge for stains left on sheets and towels.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Leave bathroom towels in in white laundry basket. Hot tub towels in grey laundry basket. DO NOT STRIP BEDS.
Starter kit of items are available for a weekend stay. Bring your own laundry detergent. Contact host with questions regarding items available.
Please take all trash to brown bin located on right of property. If additional trash bags are needed aside from what is provided, please contact host.

We were attending my daughter’s graduation from BMT at Lackland. The property was in close proximity to the base. The property was clean, nice, and roomy. I loved the character of the hike as well, that was a plus!! We had an issue with the sink and shower and the host sent a plumber the next morning and fixed the problems. She was readily available to assist. I would stay again! Thanks Claudia!

Close to Lackland Valley Hi gate

First time walking in the home reminded me of my Grams. There is a lot of room. Just a heads up they consider hygiene as all goilods including toilet paper and garbage bags, you must bring your own. I would stay here again.

The host did not send the combo to house, i msgd her and she did not reply. I was an hour away from home when i finally had to call vrbo and they also could not get ahold of host. After the 2nd time and less than 15 min out, vrbo operator said host was cancelling resevation stating i did not follow their rules on pet policy. I have proof through msgs that i contacted host BEFORE i booked place and she agreed. I am disappointed, i a upset and u am NOT untruthful. VRBO operator was patient and kind. They got us someplace to stay and we were thankful.

I’m sorry the guest felt disappointed, but it’s important to correct the record. Our listing allows one pet with a $50 fee, and all agreements must be made through VRBO’s messaging system. In the VRBO channel, the guest stated she was bringing four dogs, did not pay the pet fee, and did not communicate arrival or pet details until 5 PM on the scheduled check-in day. These conditions did not meet our house rules or VRBO’s platform requirements. For that reason, VRBO canceled the reservation, provided a full refund, and assisted the guest in finding another accommodation immediately. We follow our policies consistently to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and fairness of every stay.
