Conveniently situated on south Ali’i drive, the condo is 1/3 mile from Keauhou bay and less than one mile from the Keauhou Shopping center. Unlike northern Kona, Keauhou is very lush and green - it is where the Hawaiian Royalty, the Ali’i, once spent their leisure time! This sought-after location is perfect for golfers, cyclists, fishermen, water sports-enthusiasts and adventure seekers, as well as those desiring some well-deserved R&R. We retired, bought this condo and started having the best times of our lives! I never thought I would be racing outrigger canoes at my age, but wow what fun it has been! We spent the first 4 months or so here without a car and the location is so perfect for walking or biking to whatever you need. We have 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren in CA so we go back and forth and open up the condo to others when we're not here. Life is Good!
Why they chose this property
We chose this complex because of the beautiful peaceful grounds, friendly neighbors and we had already fallen in love with Keauhou Bay and were so excited to find a place so close to it. We love having the grocery store so close and a post office, movie theater and pharmacy within walking distance. We like the fact that there are only 48 units here and that it has a secluded off the beaten path feel to it.
What makes this property unique
My favorite benefit is to walk to the ocean and enjoy it's beauty. I've fallen in love with outrigger canoe paddling and get on the water almost every day without getting in a car. My grandchildren absolutely love the pool here. Keauhou Akahi has a wonderful feeling to it-it feels like a little hometown.
