Cape Coral

I will start by saying the house was beautiful. The communication with the host was great until we got to the property, then neither the owner nor the management company answered their phones or responded to messages in a timely manner, and we needed information regarding the house and the incoming hurricane protocol. Before you reserve you should know: • This 5-bedroom home charges extra for every person over 2 so make sure you put a correct list of the people staying • You pay for the electricity you use, this is a first for me renting over 50 houses in the last 15 years. • There is a full glass door in the master bathroom with no covering that gives no privacy from pool guests or near neighbors. • There are no dressers in the bedrooms for your clothes. • The pool was green, so we didn’t feel comfortable using it. • Ants in the kitchen. • They provide no rugs by the front door or showers for wet feet/shoes.

Dear David, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. Your opinions are important to us. We are pleased to hear the initial communication was great but sorry to hear that once we were going through the hurricane we lost communication for a short period of time. Hurricane season is so unpredictable and we do our best to keep in close contact with all of our guests during this time. We do apologize this was not to your standard. When you are originally creating your booking, we are very transparent about all charges and fees. If the booking was inputted with the proper number of guests from the start then we would not have ended up with any confusion. When you are viewing the photos of the home before you book we always try to include full photos of the bedrooms to see what you are getting before you book. Everything is always fully up to date and in the photos you are able to see that instead of dressers, we opted in for spacious closets for our guests. Furthermore, the glass on the bathroom door is frosted and is full privacy glass, you are unable to see through it. Regarding the pool, it is true that at this point we had an issue with the pool company we were using, and the pool was not taken care of up to our standards. However, I did reach out to you multiple times to ask you what type of compensation you would be comfortable with for this inconvenience and received no responses. I also waived your entire electric bill for this inconvenience as well. As much as we try to make each and every experience for our guests perfect, sometimes small inconveniences happen to houses that are completely unavoidable, but we always do what we can to make this up to our guests. Unfortunately, you would rather leave a not-so-great review rather than accept our apologies we tried giving you, but as is your right. We sincerely hope you consider staying with us again in the future, and we are confident that we can provide you with a much more enjoyable experience. Thanks again, VRCC Team

Nice House but Not as Listed

Traveled with my family (7 adults, 3 children). When we arrived at 3:45 (for a 4:00 check in) there were still cleaners there. We had just driven 1600 miles & had food in coolers that need to get into fridge/freezer. At 3:50, another cleaner showed up. Waited till 4:00 and went in to unload food & stuff. Cleaners left around 4:20. Went through house to figure who would get what bedroom. Turns out there are only 2 king beds, not 3!! One of the reasons I booked this house for having 3 kings. Husband & son-in-laws are all over 6 ft & need kings. The tallest got the kings. Notified the house manager right away about bedding & he said, "oh, the owner must have switch the bed." REALLY??? The master bedroom has a king but the bathroom has a window in the door that leads to pool/backyard!! Makes no sense. Also charging for electricity is very odd. The manager never showed up as the stated multiple times in emails. I sent photos of the electric meter at begining & at check out & texted to him. We were charged 90 for 1 week stay & it was cool so air didn't run much. Pool is not heated. That is more then I pay for a full month of electricity. Grandkids liked the sand area outside of the pool. I would not stay here again.
