Private bedroom and bath, with own patio. Located in the Colonial Heights neighborhood, we are walking distance to dining places, coffee shops, grocery stores, retail shops, and a gym. We are on the urban edge, but if you walk down our street, away from the commerce, the tree-lined avenue becomes more tranquil. The area can be noisy at times, however,
you will find that the insulated room makes it much quieter inside. Our guests say that they sleep fabulously on the comfy queen-sized bed.
The space
* A new washer/ dryer unit has been installed for your exclusive use!
1. Cozy bedroom, includes a queen-sized bed, desk, large office chair, wall mounted flat-screen tv, and extra bedding and pillows. There is also a mini-split a/c with heat. The room includes a mini-fridge, microwave, and Keurig pod coffee maker.
2. Private bathroom. With toilet, sink, shower, and cabinets, plus extra towels, and a blow dryer.
3. Good-sized closet, with a lot of hangers, a portable ironing board, and iron, clothes hamper, and a dresser.
4. Alcove area next to closet is where the brand new washer/dryer has been installed.
Guest access
Separate private entrance is accessed through a locked gate which takes you into your own exclusive patio area, then through a locked door into the bedroom. You will have access to one parking space in the driveway, the private patio, bedroom, and bath. The bedroom, with private entrance, is attached to the house that we live in. We share a wall, with doors that are locked from both sides. Our kitchen, backyard, and other living spaces ARE NOT shared. This allows for privacy for us, and for you.
Other things to note
The room is well equipped for mid-length stays, for one (or two people sharing a bed), on a month-to-month basis, for up to 4 months.
After every guest, the entire space goes through an enhanced cleaning process. All bedding, including the mattress pad, pillow protectors, and bedspread are removed and washed. All towels, and bath rugs as well. Hard surfaces are cleaned with disinfectant cleaner, including the light switches!
Amenities that are walking distance include grocery stores, ice-cream shop, coffee shops, places to eat, a gym, and the library. Bus stops are a block away, and if you have a car, you can park it in our driveway (off-street parking).
