Log Cabin with Boat at Lake Åsnen, Fast Internet, 3 bedrooms, Sleeps 6, Pets OK

Welcome to Älgdalen in southern Småland, located between Älmhult and Växjö.
We are close to Huseby Bruk and Åsnens National Park.
Close to Lake Åsnen, only 10 minutes by car.
Row Boat at Lake Åsnen is included in the rent.

If you need more beds, we have another cabin for rent in the same area.
It is also listed here.

Weekly rental year around, arriving Saturdays at 15.00 (3PM) or later, and depart Saturdays at 10AM or earlier. We have a Key lock Box for the key.

Excellent drinking water. New Filtrena water filter is installed. Deep drilled well.

We have very fast fiber internet (100/100 Mbit with free WiFi).

Feel free to use our BBQ, hammocks and lawn furniture.

We have many Swedish and German ASTRA TV channels.

Smoking is NOT allowed inside the house.

Pets are welcome. Additional charges may apply for bed linen, towels and Pets.

Very nice stay!

The house and surroundings are beautiful. So peaceful and quiet! House is fully equipped and the fenced garten was perfect for our dog. The communication with owner is quick and informative.

Pure Relaxation

We spent 2 weeks in this wonderful vacation home and could not be happier. From the beginning, the communication with the landlord was extremely friendly and uncomplicated. When we then reached the cottage, we were simply thrilled. The cottage is fantastic. It is spacious, clean and comfortably furnished. The kitchen is well equipped, so we could easily prepare our own meals whenever we wanted. The living area is cozy and inviting, perfect for sitting together in the evenings and playing games or just relaxing in front of the fireplace. The location of the cottage is ideal. It's quiet and secluded, perfect for relaxing, yet there are many excursions, towns and activities nearby. We did great hikes and visited the local villages. Our dog was very happy with the fully fenced garden. We would like to sincerely thank the landlords for this wonderful experience. This cottage made our vacation very special. We can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dream getaway. Thank you again for everything!

Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, insbesondere in der Küche fehlte es an nichts. Das untere Schlafzimmer verfügt über eine Klimaanlage, wofür wir an den ungewöhnlich heißen Tagen dankbar waren. Der sehr schöne Garten ist komplett umzäunt und man hat keine direkten Nachbarn, bis auf eine Reh-Familie, die mehrmals am Tag auf der Wiese gegenüber zu beobachten war. Der See mit dem Boot ist schätzungsweise 4-5 km entfernt, der Weg lohnte sich allerdings. Vor allem der Kontakt mit der äußerst hilfsbereiten und freundlichen Vermieterin Ulrika hat uns gefallen. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit und werden sicher nochmals wiederkommen.

Die 3 Wochen Ferien in Lönashult waren Super.Das Haus von Ulrika ist wunderschön gelegen und es ist alles vorhanden was es braucht. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt,Ulrika ist eine sehr Sympatische Frau und unterstüzte uns bei alem sehr hilfsbereit.Können das Ferien Objekt sdhr weiter empfelen. Kommen nächstes Jahr wieder. Ein perfekter Urlaub!

Das Ferienhaus ist wie beschrieben einfach wunderbar. Wir waren 3 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder, 3 & 11 Jahre alt. Das Haus bietet ausreichend Platz sowohl innen wie auch außen. Die Küche war mit allem ausgestattet. Es gibt ausreichend Geschirr, Töpfe & Pfannen. Die Spülmaschine & Waschmaschine haben den Urlaubsalltag sehr erleichtert. Unser Hund hat sich sehr über den komplett eingezäunten Garten gefreut. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! 😊

Erholung Mitten im Wald

Wir haben die 2 Wochen in Familie mit Hund sehr genossen. Das Objekt liegt abseits und damit sehr ruhig gelegen. Das Haus hat trotz Renovierung, seinen schwedischen Charme behalten. Es ist alles Notwendige im Haus vorhanden. Für uns Hundebesitzer war es auch von Vorteil, dass das Grundstück gut eingezäunt ist. Baden kann man gut an dem ausgeschilderten Badeplatz an der 126 südlich von Lonashult. Leider war es uns nicht vergönnt einen Elch in freier Natur zu sehen. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin Ulrika war schnell, freundlich und unkompliziert.

Urgemütliches, ruhiges Landhaus in herrlicher Umgebung

Wir waren eine Woche in diesem sehr gemütlichen, gut und liebevoll ausgestatteten Haus mitten in der Natur, das zum Abschalten und Wohlfühlen einlädt, ebenso wie das große, eingezäunte Grundstück drum herum mit überdachtem Terrassendeck, Grill, Hängematten…, hier kann man bei gutem Wetter wunderbar den Abend genießen. Mit dem Boot, das mit dem Auto in 15 Minuten zu erreichen ist, haben wir herrliche Ausflüge zu den Badestellen am See unternommen. Am Campingplatz in Torne, der ca. 5 km entfernt liegt, kann man unkompliziert Fahrräder ausleihen und das Naturreservat erkunden und am Ende in dem Café in Torne einkehren, das u.a. sehr leckeres Eis und ebenso leckere Kuchen anbietet. Eine Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist ebenfalls schnell erreichbar. Die Gastgeberin Ulrika war ganz wunderbar, sehr freundlich und unkompliziert hat sie uns im Vorfeld alle Infos zur Verfügung gestellt, die wir für einen gutes Ankommen brauchten und war bei Fragen jederzeit schnell erreichbar. Vielen lieben Dank!

"Einfach" Schweden

Typisches rotes Holzhaus aus ca. 1920 (in sehr gutem renovierten Zustand) inkl. Kamin. Großer eingezäunter Garten inkl. geschützter Terasse und natürlich Grill. Einzige direkte Nachbarn vier Kühe und ein paar Schafe. Elche ebenfalls live nebenan zu entdecken. Blaubeerbüsche direkt vor der Haustür. Boot und Sandstrände in max. 10 min. Entfernung mit dem Auto. Fahrräder zum über das Land radeln (wo gerade viel Heu gemacht wurde) Der Åsnen mit fantastischen Sonnenuntergängen Was will man mehr? Einfach Schweden :D

Wonderful holidays

We enjoyed our stay at Älgdalen very well. The house was quite cozy and met all our expectations. Moreover we often used the boat as it was so fun to row on the stunning lake. Furthermore the fenced garden allowed our dog to play safely while we peacefully relaxed in the hammocks. Ulrika was a mindful and pleasant hostess as well. We would like to enjoy Älgdalen anytime again.

Tolle und erholsame Zeit!

Wir waren zwei Wochen zu Gast in Lönashult und wir hatten eine tolle Zeit! Das Haus ist ideal mit Familien mit Kindern. Sauber, gute Raumaufteilung und im Garten sehr viel Platz zum Spielen. Die Kommunikation ist super. Man kann die Vermieterin jederzeit ansprechen und bekommt unmittelbar Hilfe oder Antwort. Im und am Haus war alles vorhanden was man braucht. Wir haben nichts vermisst :-) Ausflugsziele, Badestrände etc. sind zu genüge in der Umgebung vorhanden. Danke an die Vermieterin :-)

wunderbares Haus am Asnen

Das Haus ist geschmackvoll und umfassend eingerichtet. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Wir hatten auch 3 Hunde dabei, welche sich ebenfalls sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Das Grundstück ist eingezäunt, so dass die Hunde auf dem Grundstück nicht angeleint werden müssen. Die Hängematte werde ich zu Hause vermissen. Mit den 100 kWh Strom, welche wöchentlich in der Miete enthalten sind, kommt man bequem hin, auch wenn man einige Tage etwas heizen muss. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert.

Perfekte Woche in Småland

Ein wunderbares Häuschen für eine maximal erholsame Woche in Småland. Schon vor der Ankunft bekamen wir jede Menge Tipps und Anregungen für Unternehmungen. Das Haus selber ist urgemütlich eingerichtet, hat alles, was man braucht und der Garten ist einfach gigantisch groß und mit dem Pavillon gibt es einen prima Platz, um bei fast jedem Wetter draußen zu essen. Das einzige, was fehlte, waren die Elche in freier Wildbahn, von denen wir nur die Spuren gesehen haben, aber vielleicht haben wir beim nächsten Mal mehr glück ;-) Unser ganz persönlicher Badetipp: ca 1km südlich von Lönashult an der Str. 126 gibt es einen kleinen See, den man nur durch ein kleines Hinweisschild mit dem Badepiktogramm sieht. Ein wunderhübsches Gewässer mit kleinem Strand, Steg und traumhaft am Wald gelegen. Vielen Dank, Ulrika, für diese wunderbare Woche!

Traditionelles Schweden Haus

Ein gemütlich eingerichtetes Schwedenhaus haben wir als fünfköpfige Familie genossen. Im großen Garten konnten unsere Jungs Fußball spielen und wir uns gleichzeitig mit einem Buch zurück ziehen. Die Küche war ordentlich ausgestattet, hatte aber z. B. kein Waffeleisen, keine Backformen oder andere Backutensilien. Die Fahrräder sind fahrtüchtig aber sehr alt und daher kaum verstellbar in der Höhe. Das Boot war unverhältnismäßig teuer dafür, dass es ca. eine halbe Stunde mit dem Auto entfernt im Schilf liegt. Daher sind wir genau einmal nur mit dem Boot gerudert. In der Anzeige wirkte die Beschreibung ganz anders!! Die nächste Badestelle ist 5km entfernt und gut mit dem Auto erreichbar. Rund um den Asnen gibt es viele Wandermöglichkeiten.

Schwedisches Idyll

Das Ferienhaus liegt mitten in der schönen Natur Schwedens. Das Boot haben wir dank Wegbeschreibung der Gastgeberin gut gefunden. Man muss etwas durchs Wasser gehen um einzusteigen. Für die Kids ein tolles Abenteuer. Badeplätze gibt es in Hulevik und Torne. Das Haus ist perfekt ausgestattet. Gerne wieder. :-)

Ruhe pur!

Wenn man die Welt um sich herum vergessen will, ist das genau der richtige Ort. Die Unterkunft ist einfach, aber man findet alles, was man braucht. Für Teenies ist es öde, die muss man gut beschäftigen, aber WLAN zieht ja fast immer. ;) An kühleren Tagen muss man gut heizen, wenn man den Dreh mit dem Kamin raus hat, wird es auch schnell warm. Leider sind es nur Bretterwände, so dass sich die Wärme nicht lange hält. Fazit: Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit! Aber wir brauchen auch keinen Luxus.

Gemütliches Ferienhaus mit genug Platz für 5 Personen nicht weit vom Åsnen

Wir (Familie mit 3 Kindern & Familienhund) haben im August 2019 zwei sehr erholsame Wochen in Älgdalen verbracht. Das Ferienhaus liegt etwas abgelegen inmitten von Wald und Weiden auf einem großen Grundstück mit windgeschützter Terrasse. Wir haben in dem Haus nichts vermisst und hatten ausreichend Platz für alle. Toll waren die beiden Badestellen am Åsnen in Torne und Hulevik. Torne konnten wir mit den alten und einfachen, aber fahrtüchtigen Fahrrädern auch per Rad erreichen. Empfehlenswert sind auch die Rundwanderungen im Åsnen Nationalpark (Hulevik und Bjurrkär) aus. Die Abwicklung und der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war problemlos und Rückfragen per Mail wurden umgehend beantwortet. Gewöhnungsbedürftig war, dass das Leitungswasser sehr eisenhaltig war und daher nach Eisen gerochen hat. Alles in allem ist es aber ein sehr empfehlenswertes Haus.

Has all you need

Somewhere in the woods, silence and beautiful surroundings - all we needed for 2 wonderful weeks in Sweden. The house and its furnishing is simple but has all you need for daily life (we are a family with 3 children). We took advantage of the bikes (a neighbor helped us out with some tools to adjust seats and air pumps) and the boat (even life jackets were available in all possible sizes). If you are willing to drive 1 or 2 hours for day trips you can actually reach quite a lot in the area (Kalmar (Castle), Karlskrona, Halmstad (for a beach day), Glasriket (kingdom of crystal), etc. to get to know country and people. My husband and I bought Älgdalen in 2010. We were looking for a cabin close to our family and relatives, who live in this area. It is very secluded. We love the deep woods of Småland and the small country roads. We especially like the Åsnen Runt trail. We take our two Springer Spaniels for long walks there. Älgdalen is also close to restaurants and shopping in Växjö.

Why they chose this property

Älgdalen is located between Växjö and Älmhult. It is out in the country. You can sit outside on the large deck and listen to the birds singing and the whispering pine trees. The house was built in the late 1800's. The interior design is a mix of old and new. It was renovated in 2020. It has a deep drilled well with a Filtrena water filter.
It is a modern cabin, year around rental. Minimum stay is 7 days.
