COUPLES/PARTIES OF TWO: The site automatically gives you a discount when your guest count is 2 or less. The guidelines for the discount is that it is for 2 people, sharing 1 Bedroom and 1 Bathroom, ONLY the Master Bedroom and adjoining Bathroom will be open. All other Bedroom(s)/Bathroom(s) will be locked off. The entire rest of the home is yours to enjoy privately. The locked off bedroom(s) & bathroom(s) will NOT be rented out to anyone else. If your party of two is not a couple and you would like the use of an additional Bedroom and Bathroom there is a small $25 per night additional linen fee to compensate for lower rate we offer for couples sharing 1 room. We unfortunately have to lock off the additional rooms as we’ve had occasions where the home was booked for 2 and unpaid for guests were brought in which is unfortunate. If you have ANY questions regarding our pricing please inquire before booking your reservation to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings.
ADDITIONAL GUEST FEE’S: Although the description of the home indicates that it CAN accommodate 4 guests, we choose to offer this home at a reduced rate for smaller groups. If your guest count exceeds that number of guests, there will be an 'additional guest fee' of $30 per person per night to compensate for the lower rate we have listed for smaller groups, until the maximum occupancy of this home is reached. We price our home in this fashion because we want to be fair to all group sizes, small and large alike. If we only offered a ‘flat rate’ no matter how many guests, smaller groups would pay the same as a larger group and we don’t think that is fair. We feel a smaller groups should pay less than a larger group. Most guests appreciate the break for their smaller group.
Pets: CATS: None of our homes allow for cats, no exceptions. DOGS/Other animals: No animals are allowed in this home. It's intended to be an allergen-free environment and includes animals of all kinds except legally mandated service animals with proof of service papers. If you bring a dog into our pet free home there will be an immediate fee of $250 no exceptions.
OUTSIDE FIRES (Not allowed usually between May and October ASK before doing so!!): California has been experiencing a severe drought and the area is extremely dry and the potential for a Wildfire is just to high to risk allowing guests to have an outdoor fire usually between May and October (ASK before lighting one!!). This regulation is determined by our local Fire Department and the banned months could be extended at any time. If you do not find a Fire Pit or Chiminea at the home, the fire ban is in place and they are not allowed PERIOD. When the fire ban is lifted, outside fires are allowed and they MUST be in an approved Fire Pit or Chiminea. If a outdoor fire pit or Chiminea is not provided, DO NOT under any circumstances gather rocks or other materials from around the home and create your own! This does not apply to the Propane BBQ's that are provided for your cooking pleasure. DO NOT use the BBQ for anything other than cooking your meal on, they are NOT intended to be used as a 'Fire Pit' and due to the propane tank attached to them they could explode by doing so.

Had a wonderful stay at this location. Was perfect for a quick little get away. Drove to Yosemite at the South gate entrance and had a wonderful day there. Everything was clean and organized. Would recommend maybe one more larger non stick pan for cooking but other than that it was great.
Such a BEAUTIFUL relaxing home. Sooooo cozy!!!! Close to all shops, starbucks, mc donalds and grocery stores. Also the river was our backyard so outside relaxation was nice.Home equipt with everything you need, very clean beds are so comfy and the hot tub 😍 water pressure in the shower 100% and i didnt have to reach out to the host for nothing because everything was well detailed before check in and during our stay.

First impressions are very important. When we pulled up, the patio was very dusty, Jacuzzi lid has buildup of debri, furniture was dusty, had some privacy but we could have easily been disturbed by trailer behind since patio wasn’t fully enclosed, paint was chipping on wall. But the jacuzzi inside was clean, we moved the shade cover so we could see the beautiful starry sky’s while sitting in jacuzzi. That was pretty awesome.
Inside smelled musty, couches are worn and not comfortable, found some spider webs, my husband liked the bed but it was too plush for me, it gave me backaches. Bedroom is carpeted and we personally prefer hard floors.
It’s advertised as 2 bedrooms but they locked one of the rooms so we technically rented a 1 bedroom. We had issues with WiFi password that was provided through the Vrbo site. I had to call her and finally got correct one. She has TV’s but we have to login to our own streaming accounts.
Location is great since it’s close to decent restaurants, stores, Yosemite, and Bass Lake.
We wouldn’t stay there again because the vibe isn’t what we expected.
Listed as a 2 bedroom but the 2nd bedroom was locked off.
listed with AC and only the living room had a wall unit and the Bedroom and bathrooms were Extremely HOT. Outdoor pictures are Misleading and very old. There is a 30' drop to the stream below. that there is NO access to. Very Disappointing.
Had the pleasure of staying the weekend in Bass lake with my mom. Communication was great with the owner. Location was great. Be careful coming out onto the main road from the house. It is a blind turn but there is a mirror, thankfully!
Having never before used vrbo to find a place to stay on a vacation, this was a very welcome & comfortable place to stay. Very homey & Terri was so accommodating in trying to get the internet connection to work after no connections. Definitely will use vrbo & recommend this particular residence. We’re much happier & more comfortable than at a hotel or resort.
My husband and I had a great time visiting Oakhurst. We found it easy to get to Yosemite and Bass Lake from this home and appreciated the tips the host left for us for our visit. The home is close to 41 yet quiet. The home was clean and well kept. We were able to cook from home and enjoyed the grill. The hot tub is private and wonderful. Temps were high while we were there but a rest in the hot tub was welcomed after a day of hiking!
Thanks so much for opening up your home!
We had a very pleasant stay. Lots of trees, birds, and a lovely little partridge family out front during our stay. Very clean.
The only thing I will mention is that this is really the 6th unit of an small single story apartment complex. It appears about 1/2 of them are owned by the same Natures Getaway company or similarly named outfits.
Because of this there was a small amount of the kind of noise you typically associate with an apartment or hotel. The neighbors TV/radio. The occasional slamming door. Stomping feet. Etc etc. Also the washer/dryer is a shared apartment style laundry. It didn’t negatively affect our stay. Way better than your average hotel. But just a heads up, so that you go into it knowing fully what to expect, as many VRBO vacationers like us use the site to avoid close neighbors. Still give it 4 stars. And would still recommend it, because the unit has its own entrance, it’s own yard, and like I said trees and birds galore.
Overall a lovely little stay. Super close to Yosemite and Bass Lake boating.
This property is very private and well set up, but does adjoin other properties so there as some noise from other residents. Four star rating only because the hot tub water could do with replacing and we were locked out of the second bedroom (assumed it was me and my husband, but I had indicated it was me and a female friend). This was remedied with a text, thank you. Kitchen is very well set up.
My family stayed at this property for two nights. It was better than we expected. We had a wonderful time visiting Yosemite which was only 20 minutes away from the house and loved having a place to come back to with a very relaxing hot tub. We would stay here again if we could. Thank you for the amazing hospitality!
Central location, peace and quiet, hot tub and a starry cold night. The information book was a plus. We've been coming to Yosemite for years and now have new points of interest to check out. The real bonus was the thoughtful addition of the Christmas Tree. Definitely our new get away. Thank you!
I went to Yosemite each day, and this property is close to the south entrance of the park. It seemed like a long drive to get in to the park because the park is huge. I liked that we were close to town for the grocery stores and the other food options
The property was in a great location! The property it self was amazing! A great little home for a weekend get away for couples or more. The inside was very clean and spacious. Will definitely be coming back to this home. Thank you Terri and Mary.

Quick trip to Yosemite
I truly loved this property. The surroundings has lots of trees and just down a small hill is the babbling brook. Birds are twittering and the resident woodpecker is delightful with his pecking noises! seriously! The unit is very nicely furnished and decorated. Comfortable beds and pillows.
We did not use the hot tub but did use the grill and it worked fine. Only suggestion is for a pitcher in the kitchen to make ice tea would be nice.
It is conveniently located to the surrounding areas and is an easy jaunt up 41 to the park entrance.
We also did a day trip to Shaver Lake bypassing Bass Lake which is very close.
Be prepared to do curvy mountain driving especially in Yosemite and the drive to Glacier Point. Lots of people already in the park, so patience is a must!
Thanks to Mary and Terri who are responsive to texts! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riverside!!

About the host

Can't say enough about living here. Love being surrounded by such beauty and totally enjoy sharing it with our guests. We pride ourselves on offering wonderful homes with lots of amenities so our guests can always have a fantastic experience. :-)
Why they chose this property
This property is so wonderful and unique. It is close to town, but set on it's own 4.5 acres with the amazing and always running Fresno River along it's back border. Towering trees are everywhere in this park like setting. We have completely remodeled each home on this property and have turned it into an adult only vacation rental. We love kids but know that sometimes one just wants to get away and simply be an adult. I know I do. :-)
What makes this property unique
Feel like you are out in the country with the birds, trees, open space and River but you can literally walk to a fantastic restaurant and coffee shop. :-)
