Stay, enjoy and relax at this beautifully renovated home in Massanutten Resort - formerly the Bonnie Retreat. The house is 10 miles from JMU and less than 2 miles from any activity in the resort. It features unique barn wood beams, concrete counter tops, farmhouse sink, fireplace, claw foot tub and heated floors. There are a total of 6 bedrooms. There are 3 bedrooms on the lower level, one with bunk beds and a pull out trundle, one with a queen bed and with double size bed. The lower level has a wet bar and a TV. The lower level also has a full bath and laundry room. The main level has an open floor plan including the living room with TV, dining room and kitchen. The master suite is on the main level with a king bed. The upper level has 2 bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and double bed. The other bedroom has two double size beds. The upper level also has a full bath. Enjoy the outside with a massive wrap-around deck that has a gas grill.
There is a doorbell camera next to the front door and pointed at the driveway only.

Recent Stay at Dukes Den

Had an amazing weekend with friends and family during our stay at Dukes Den. The hosts were very accommodating and responded to all of my group's question in a very swift manner. The space itself was clean and amazing. Not to mention the heated bathroom floors! I would highly recommend this property.

Friends weekend

Myself and 9 friends stayed at this property for a long weekend away. It was very clean, accommodated all of us comfortably and was nicely, centrally located to Shenandoah National Park, Harrisonburg, VA and local wineries. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect long golf weekend with friends!

We have a group of 6 friends who have been getting together for a long golf weekend in the Shenandoah Valley for 29 years. We discovered the Massanutten Resort for accommodations 8-10 years ago, but the house that we had been renting wasn't available this year. We were delighted to find Dukes Den and even more delighted with the stay. We will certainly try to stay there again next year and would highly recommend it to others (just not our week, lol)!

Great Stay for Ladies Group

This was our 4th stay at The Bonnie Retreat. The house was perfect for our group of 6 ladies. The house was very clean and was well-supplied within the kitchen and with towels. The house was perfectly located for us to access all that Massanutten has to offer including pickleball and tennis courts, the fitness center, and restaurants. We had one small maintenance issue and that was promptly resolved by the owners. There was great communication with the owners regarding our vacation and the one small issue we had. We would highly recommend The Bonnie Retreat.

Long weekend

The house is absolutely gorgeous. Very close to all the resort attractions. Was perfect for our multi-family stay. Kitchen and house is stocked of basic amenities and needs, from pots and pans to high chairs and baby gates and family board games. Would definitely stay here again!

Anniversary celebration

Our family met in the middle to celebrate my in-laws 50th anniversary! The stay was perfect! We had plenty of room for everyone, enjoyed cooking and eating together, and the activities the resort had to offer! This house was the perfect mix of modern amenities and comfort for family!

Great Family Space for Gathering

Very clean updated place for a family gathering. Kitchen was extra great with all you need to cook up some dinners. Plenty of beds and baths to give everyone some privacy. The wrap around porch was awesome with nice sturdy chairs for everyone It was also great for the kids to run and play and view the woods and deer. All over outstanding place!!!

Graduation Getaway

We had a wonderful long weekend stay for our son's graduation. The Bonnie Retreat was perfect for several adults to spread out and relax all weekend long. The main floor of the house had an open floor plan that was a great set up for a large informal get together/dinner. The hosts were so helpful, kind and responsive. We were so glad we went with The Bonnie Retreat vs a hotel. This was so much more comfortable for the whole family.

Great weekend getaway

The host was able to accommodate an early check in and we had a great time. Lots of room for us to eat, play games, yoga on the porch, and more. Beds were comfy.

A wonderful family getaway

We had a wonderful vacation at The Bonnie retreat! Hosts were very responsive. The house was extremely clean. Loved the wrap around deck. The kids enjoyed playing ball in the cul-de-sac and exploring in the woods in the backyard. Plenty of space for our group which consisted of three families all with young children. We enjoyed some of the amenities on the resort property such as the water park, the playgrounds/parks, mini golf and the petting farm! Only downside was not having much of a yard, but that’s nothing I didn’t expect based on the listing. We still managed to put on an outdoor Easter egg hunt for the kids ☺️ Overall would recommend for groups with multiple families and children!

Perfect JMU Girls’ Weekend Reunion Spot

Seven long time friends met in a central location for relaxing, talking and laughing. We just spent quality time together! The kitchen was GREAT for our group, with plenty of space to keep our coffee cups and tea cups full, grab snacks, and cook meals. The footed tub, fancy shower, deck chairs and stunning view were great for individual decompressing. Thank you so much for your clear communication before the trip, and helpful directions onsite for during the trip. For example, the little labels on the cabinets and light switches were so useful for our home away from home comfort. Thanks!

Friends' Weekend

Group of friends wanted to get together so chose a location that was out-of-town for all, but easy to get to. We also wanted someplace we could bring food we'd prepared and brought with us, play cards and scrabble, listen to music and play our own instruments, and just generally relax and catch up. This was perfect.

Great stay for our group of 15!

We had friends come to town from all over and we stayed here for 5 days and it was great! The house is so spacious and everyone enjoyed staying here! We were able to celebrate my wife's baby shower and spend quality time with all of our friends in one space! 10/10 would stay here again! Everything about this place was perfect and made our trip that much better!

Perfect getaway

The house was better than expected! We had so much cozy, beautifully decorated space to spread out, and spend time together. We would absolutely stay at the property again and recommend in a heartbeat!

Nice little cabin for a big group!

We had ten people and we stayed very comfortably in this cabin. It's tight, but the owners have really maximized the space well. We did wish there was something at the cabin that we could have done outdoors. A fire pit or a hot tub would have been wonderful. We did have a hiccup at check in. The smart key pad on the door was offline, so no codes would unlock the door. We called the owner and he was extremely kind and literally getting into his car to drive 3 hours to let us into the property (the night before Thanksgiving!) when we discovered an unlocked window we could climb through. A backup plan for unlocking the cabin would definitely be helpful! But we were very appreciative of the owner's generous response. Overall a great place to stay and I wouldn't hesitate to come back!

Family gathering / Wedding weekend
