The cabin was wonderful! Very clean and well stocked with everything you need! Very secluded and pretty setting. The hot tub was very nice and the solo stove fire pit was an added bonus. We enjoyed sitting on the deck while drinking our coffee in the morning and listening to the sounds of nature. The kids enjoyed their room and the desk for setting up their computer. The cabin was very comfy and perfect for our family and Goldendoodle. We really enjoyed our time. Franklin and Highlands are very cute towns and had plenty to do. I highly recommend this cabin if you are looking to stay in this area!

We loved the house and how peaceful everything was around it! The gravel road to the house was difficult to navigate, even in our SUV. We made it but did get stuck a couple of times.

It is so serene and quiet with all the comforts of home. Fully equipped kitchen and beautiful views and wildlife. Outside grill, fire pit with chairs to be under the stars.

Adorable cabin. Everything we needed. Beautifully decorated and landscaped. Serene location. Easy to get to Franklin and Sylva. Deer grazing in the morning and evening. Perfect to sit outside with our dog on the covered deck. Love the fire pit area. Enjoyed our stay. I would only caution against driving a car with lower ground clearance (VW golf R or similar) as the road had some potholes to navigate. After the first time it’s easy to navigate but higher clearance is better. Mike was kind, caring, and a good communicator. We felt welcome in his home.

4 Day Getaway

What a wonderful stay! It was a perfect size for me, my husband, our son, and our two dogs. My husband is a mountain man and was in his natural habitat. We thank the owner a thousand times for letting us stay in his lovely home.

They had family friendly board games and plenty of pillows and blankets for comfort. They also had plenty of firewood to use in the fire pit which was nice. Cozy place to stay for what we needed it for. There are a few things that were a little disappointing though. The road leading up to the house is pretty steep you will spin your tires and there are a few no trespassing signs on each side of the gravel path leading to the house which makes it appear you have turned down a private driveway with no place to turn around. We arrived around 8:00pm once we located the cabin and there was not a single light on at the house. The toilet was dirty when we arrived and there were dirty towels in the laundry basket in the bathroom. The outside patio string lights are solar and even after charging on the sunniest day are useless. Make sure to bring toilet paper also, there was only 1/2 a roll, we had to go to town to get more.

We have since added landscaping lights so it is easy to navigate once you arrive. We also replaced the pipe in the well, so no more sediment in the toilet. It is rural and no trespassing signs are very common. The shared driveway can seem a bit steep and bumpy for some drivers, but normally hasn’t been an issue.
