This place was perfect for our weekend get away. The central location made getting to everything quick and easy. The place was clean, well appointed, and exactly what was presented online. We had a great experience with the Hosts as well. Would highly recommended to anyone visiting Michigan City.

Great stay for us. Fully stocked with necessities. We didn’t have to rush to the store. Communication was great. Even after the storm came through we had 2 times they reached out to see if we were ok. Cozy comfy bed for restful sleep. Thanks for having us.

Central location, easy access to all the places we wanted to go and see. The place is very clean, good size for a group of 2-3 people. Like the retro refrigerator and microwave. Overall really pleasant stay.

This was the perfect cozy cottage to spend my hisband's birthday weekend. We shooped at the outlet mall, went to the casino, and binge watched our new favorite series. We'll go back in warmer weather to explore the dunes. Great location and awesome home away from home.

Super great experience!

We stayed for our first anniversary and it was such a great experience. It is located near many things to do and great food spots. It is so cute and was super clean when we arrived. Communication was great and we would definitely recommend this spot to have a relaxing getaway.

I spent two days by myself, working on music and enjoying a solitary Father’s Day weekend away from the family. It was peaceful and the location was close to anything that you would need. Groceries, restaurants, etc. communication was extremely responsive. I would highly recommend this for a solitary or couples getaway!

It was very clean. We could see that from the moment we walked in. The cottage is well thought out and set up. The hosts seem to try to meet all the basic needs for a long weekend away. And they left a complimentary bottle of wine, which was very thoughtful. Communication with the Dunes Dwellings staff was easy, fast, and they were very responsive to any issues. One night the power was out when we got back from dinner and they were very communicative to make sure the power was restored as soon as possible. They had a binder with helpful information about what’s available in the area. It’s a very convenient location to activities and close to the train that goes into Chicago. We were very happy with our stay and would stay again. There were a few things that could be a little better. There are only a few towels and wash cloths for showering. And there is no washer and dryer. So there should be access to more towels and wash cloths if you can’t wash what’s there. This is just personal preference but the sheets were polyester (non breathable) and made me feel clammy while I slept. There was daylight around the window in the bathroom, so it needs to be caulked. And the heat/air conditioning unit is loud and vibrated the wall that’s at the head of the bed. And the blinds on the wall facing the main house don’t cover the whole window. So it’s not fully private, just on 2 windows. Those are the reasons I didn’t give it a 5 star rating.

We greatly enjoyed our three nights at Honeymooner's Hut. We were passing through (from Kansas City) on the way to spend time with family in Ypsilanti, and used the time here for a productive and fun explore of nearby Indiana Dunes National Park. Also found plenty of Michigan City food options. The start-to-finish process for rental of the property was flawless, and the host was spot-on communicative throughout. The property itself was perfect for the two of us - comfortable, clean, well-furnished, tastefully decorated, and quiet. Not a single complaint on our end, and would gladly repeat the experience if passing through again. Thanks!
