Welcome to the tranquility of country living at Barn-Suite. The perfect private space for two to celebrate an intimate occasion.
Located in Sonoma's central area, this lovely guest suite provides just what you need for your upcoming trip. Located on a private drive, a garden path leads you to your secluded suite overlooking the walnut trees and vineyards.
Enjoy your complimentary bottle of Ricci wine. If your stay is 2-3 nights or more, Susan will surprise you with a local 'nosh board'.
The fridge is filled with Pellegrino water and milk for your coffee.
If our organic garden is ripe, you may taste the bounty of our harvest.
As you enter through the private entrance gate and step inside the the suite, you'll be greeted with a refrigerator, microwave, Nespresso coffee maker, Harney & Sons Tea, and a basket of snacks and fresh baked Chocolate chip cookies treats during your stay.
Unwind in the cozy outdoor private patio living area, where you can curl up by the outdoor fire table and enjoy the view. Step outside and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the outdoor pool and soak in the serene ambiance. Explore the nearby Napa Valley Wine Train, just a 19-minute drive away, or discover the vibrant Sonoma Plaza, just 6 minutes from your doorstep. Hike up in back of Sonoma plaza, to the water tower or bike up Cavedale Road in Glen Ellen to Random Ridge outlook over looking Sonoma valley.
Glen Ellen is a charming and quaint destination about 8 miles up valley. This town is where the writer Jack London settled back in the early 1900's. His "Castle-like home" did burn although remnants remain for touring the grounds.
In the Barn-Suite find essentials like, toiletries, cushy robes, towels, and air conditioning, this vacation suite provides all the comforts you need for an unforgettable stay in Sonoma.

We had the most wonderful time at this cozy cottage for our anniversary. Susan & Gary are fantastic - very welcoming and genuinely great people. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the owners put so much thought into every detail. The place is spotless and stocked with everything we could possibly need. From the fresh bread, bottle of wine, yummy snacks, and the sweetest surprise was chocolate covered strawberries marking our years of marriage! Such a thoughtful and personal touch. If you're looking for a unique and cozy getaway, this is it! We can't wait to go back!

A slice of heaven with cheesecake on the side
This is a gem of a property, the owner treats guests impeccably and the property is filled with everything that you need to relax and enjoy your stay. From the moment we drove up the driveway we felt welcomed. The unit is bright and airy with a wonderful private patio that is surrounded by fruit trees. The owner takes great pride in the care of her numerous gardens and this property shows like it was ripped from the pages of a magazine...she shared the most magnificent figs we have ever had and her cakes...ask about those!! Then you too will eat one for breakfast and not feel a tinge of guilt. Hands down a 5 star experience from start to finish and a great location to boot. We will return......

From the fresh baked bread, fruits from the garden and local cheeses that our hosts provided upon check-in to the comfy queen bed to the sparkling pool and the heated bathroom floor, our hosts made this a wonderful experience we will long remember. A family reunion brought us to Sonoma and the stay at the Barn Suite completed the weekend!The grounds were picturesque…bountiful vegetable garden, fruit trees filled with offerings, a lovely pool and private patio with cozy seating.The bluebirds were busy delivering food to their babies.The suite was well equipped, bed was extremely comfortable and her homemade cookies were the perfect touch!Thank you!!!!

Great communication with hosts. Loved the “Barn Suite”. From the moment we were greeted with a warm smile, a delicious “nosh” board, and fresh fruit from their garden.The suite itself was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and incredibly well-appointed — everything felt curated with care. The kitchen and bathroom were more than fully stocked, with extras that went above and beyond our expectations. The space is private and gated, making it feel like a peaceful sanctuary. The private patio was perfect for quiet and serene mornings with coffee and winding down in the evening with a glass of wine with the fire going. The location is ideal — just a 5-minute drive to Sonoma Plaza, but tucked away enough that you feel like you’re in your own little wine country escape.Susan and Gary are exceptional hosts, and their place is truly special. The Barn Suite was clean and very well appointed. Set in a quiet neighborhood, about 10 minutes drive from Sonoma Square within a lovely little ecosystem. Gary and Susan were incredibly welcoming and their property is full of fun—chickens, an active owl box, yummy fruits and vegetables and a relaxing pool. They make you feel like family—giving you great local recommendations, unexpected treats from Susan’s kitchen which are an absolute delight and sharing tidbits about their property. Way above and beyond! We enjoyed walking in the vineyard behind their home, treating the sheep across the way to fallen fruit and hanging out with their beautiful dog Ginger. This is paradise!! We will be back for sure! Thank you Gary and Susan!!

I live on the property with my husband Gary and Ginger our German short-haired pointer.
Oh yes and 16 hens and a rooster named Bob!
We've lived here for 12 years now and love it! We have fully landscaped our property and built a pool. We've built a workshop for canning our tomatoes and pickling peppers and walled in a guest suite.
I was a professionally acclaimed baker "Elegant Cheese Cakes" but life has changed and I am a farmer, chicken lover and dog mom. However, I still have a passion for baking-cooking so you may be subject to my goods!

Why they chose this property

As you pull onto Mosta Way, a small country lane, very quiet and peaceful setting in the Carneros region. Surrounded by vineyards of chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapevines.
You'll notice sheep across the way, very private property with views of sunrise and sunsets. Sunday- Monday mornings you may see the hot air balloons overhead.
2-1/2 miles to Sonoma plaza where there are shops and restaurants to visit.

What makes this property unique

We have over 2 acres of country living, the barn suite is gated and secure with your private parking, secluded patio and use of our 85 degrees pool. Beautiful sunsets and enjoy a libation underneath a large shaded cedar arbor. Relax on 2 chase lounges for an afternoon to rejuvenate. It's a slice of paradise!
