About this property
Pet Friendly Cabin in Ellijay Ga
This beautiful 625 sq foot, 1 bedroom, sofa bed, 1 bathroom guest suite is perfect for 1-3people looking for a place in the mountains nestled beneath the trees. We have on-site parking and private access.
There are 3 curious cats & 2 old dogs that live here on the property with our crazy bunch.
*We do decorate for fall, spring, summer & winter. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, 4th of July and other major holidays so decor does change month to month.
Our neighborhood offers a full-size gym, indoor and outdoor pool, playground, tennis and basketball courts, mini golf, camping, and event center for guests to use!
We are 15 minutes from the start of 52 East (the highway to all the apple houses, and Cartecay river tubing).
*15 minutes to historic downtown Ellijay.
*35 minutes to BlueRidge
*40 minutes to Amicalola Falls
8 minutes from the Gilmer airport. 1 hour 24 minutes from Hartfield Jackson airport. We have tons of hiking all around us within a 20 to 45-minute drive. Take a wine bus tour of all the beautiful wineries Ellijay has to offer.

***What to expect from the property***
Our space offers a cozy cabin vibe with modern touches. Enjoy a nice read with a variety of books we offer, spend the day playing games, cook a nice meal, or binge-watch your favorite shows!
The outside patio spaces offer endless mornings of bird-watching! The home is surrounded by views of wildlife and endless forest views. There are deer grazing and passing through the woods and you can hear the trickle of the small creek below the house.
Gravel Drive *** The house is located on a long heavily wooded gravel road inside a gated community. The roads are narrow, very dark at night, curvy, and close to the edge of the mountain with no guard rail. If dirt/gravel roads, hills, darkness, and narrow roads aren’t your type of driving adventure I do suggest a different location.
The gravel road is perfect for afternoon walks or evening runs by the creek! There is a fishing pond 3 minutes from the house and a river that is perfect for trout fishing, kayaking, and tubing!
*** please know that this is cabin is in a heavily wooded area. We like to be clear that sometimes bugs (spiders, biting and stinging insects, etc), can find their way into the cabin. You may also encounter wildlife around the property (poisonous and non-poisonous snakes, bears, foxes, raccoons, skunks, flying squirrels and other animals). Please keep all doors closed and trash/food inside the cabin. We do supply bug spray in the pantry and you may wish to bring your own for personal wear. ***
We have a fully stocked kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, a stovetop, a tabletop oven, and a full coffee & snack bar.
Bathroom -- We have a fully updated bathroom with a large tile shower. But for real... that shower though.......it has a Bluetooth speaker built into the lightbulb in the shower ceiling! Feel free to jam out and play it as loud as you want!!
HEATING & AIR - we have central heating and air in the guest suite but the main control for the HVAC is located upstairs in the house. We typically keep heat on 67 & air at 72. However, there is an electric fireplace in the living room area of the guest suite and mini heater in the bathroom that heat the space very well if extra warmth is needed. There is also a window unit in the guest suite if you wish to cool the space down more.
HOT WATER- Our hot water heater runs off gas, it is not electric. Sometimes it takes about 15-30mins between showers before water fully heats back up again.
POWER - if the power goes out in the event of a storm there are flash lights available in the room but we do not have a generator (the power doesn’t go out often during storms, but just incase there are flashlights ).
Sometimes the breaker does get tripped if multiple things are plugged in at one time in the guest suite. If this happens let me know asap and we can access the breaker box to turn it back on.

About the host
Hosted by Savannah Upton
Im a small business owner (10 years cleaning houses, businesses, rentals, construction cleans, and rvs) and I have been a nanny for 6 yrs. I graduated from Dalton State College (communication degree) after that I traveled for a while and decided to finish the basement of my childhood home to share with people around the world! This place has always brought so much joy growing up and I hope it does the same for everyone who enters!
What makes this property unique
The atmosphere makes you feel like you have lived here your entire life. It's a relaxed, safe environment away from the hustle and bustle of everyday. As you drive up the long winding dirt road through all the trees you feel a peace come over you.
