This was a good place for my daughter recovering from a transplant. Comfortable recliners, very clean, lots of supplies to cook with and plenty of towels. We would definitely stay here again. Only suggestion is to supply a toaster and a non-transparent curtain for the bathroom.

Perfect When Recuperating From Surgery

We spent almost 3 weeks in this comfortable cozy home with all of your everyday needs taken into account. It is in a quiet neighborhood but not too far from a variety of stores for grocery shopping. The property managers were easy to work with & accommodating.

Perfect location for us to commute daily to Mayo. Very clean. Everything that we needed. Nice to be able to stay in our own place rather than a hotel, since we were there for three weeks.

Great neighborhood and friendly neighbors.

The location of the house is close to everything. A nice older neighborhood with tree lined streets. The house has potential needing a few upgrades including but not limited to the furniture and landscaping. The kitchen has upgraded amenities. There is a two car garage for parking, the garage remote will work. However, you need to prop a chair for the entry door to secure it.

Small on outside big on Inside

At first look I thought no way this is a 4 bedroom home and then got inside and realized not only is it a 4 bedroom but it had plenty of room and could easily put another person Downstairs. Very clean and nice neighborhood, not far from downtown.

Inside was great outside needs work

The inside of the property was nice and clean. We had everything we needed. The beds were small though. There were two single beds in one of the upstairs bedroom. The other two upstairs bedrooms rooms had full beds which were tight for two adults. The outside needs a lot of work. Everything was overgrown. To get into the passenger side of our vehicle you had to step on overgrown plants and weeds. Nice to have a garage though.

Mix of modern & home

The house is very cozy. It's got a mix of modern and homey aspects to it. Appliances and ease of life are all modern and nice to use, while the decor is more home-like and cozy. I was a little concerned about the main floor bathroom light switch being so close to the shower, but never ran into any issues.

Lots of room

The house was roomy and clean with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed to feel at home. Located In a good neighborhood and close to Mayo but not right downtown. We were happy to be able to have our dog with us. The neighbors were kind and welcoming. The yard could use some clean up….we pulled weeds out front to locate the house number sign. No one mowed the yard or raked leaves the entire 6 weeks we were there. Refrigerator happened to stop working shortly after our arrival but was replaced with a brand new one quickly. We will stay again if we have an extended stay in Rochester in the future.

Home away from home

I cannot speak highly enough of Amir and Satharina and their property. We stayed in Rochester due to my brother-in-law’s cancer surgery and treatments. It was to be a short stay but turned in to a lengthy one due to COVID and doctors orders to not leave the state until all treatments were completed. This led to needing to extend our stay multiple times which the owners did without hesitation. They also made our stay during COVID more comfortable by having the cable company come over on our first business day there and run cable to all bedrooms since we couldn’t go out. They also had someone shovel the snow and also mow the lawn without us having to contact them. The house is very comfortable with everything you could ever need. Plenty of bedding, all you need in the kitchen to cook anything you can think of, 2 car garage, 4 bedrooms and a brand new washer and dryer. It’s was literally our home away from home. The house is in a great neighborhood and only 2 blocks from a convenience store and everything else is easily within a 5-10 minute drive. If I ever have to stay in Rochester again I will definitely stay at this house again. Hopefully it’s under better circumstances though. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Rochester this is the place for you.

Simple and modest, yet extremely comfortable home.

The Magnolia House was perfect for us. We were in Rochester to spend Thanksgiving with my husband’s family. The house was roomy and easily accommodated 4 adults and 2 dogs. Although only one bathroom, it was large and we had no problem sharing among the 4 of us. I enjoyed making meals in the upgraded kitchen. We will definitely rent the Magnolia House again.

We were in Rochester for treatments at Mayo. The house was just a few minutes drive from the Clinic which made days of multiple appointments easy to manage. The home was well appointed. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. There were plenty of towels & extra blankets and the beds were comfy. It was nice to have the use of the garage and the back yard was great for our dogs. Would definitely consider staying here again. The hosts were responsive and accommodating. All and all a positive experience.
