We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful cabin. It was big enough to accommodate our large family. The communication with the owners was great and we would book again!
The Buffalo River House was amazing! Spacious living areas, and well equipt kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. The entire house was very clean. Ali, our host, was wonderful with communications. The area felt very safe. It was only a 30 minute ride to Yellowstone NP! A group of 8 adults stayed here and it was perfect. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a great time at this cabin! We loved the views of the water from the backyard and patios and the layout of the cabin was perfect for a large family. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Island Park.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear your family had such a great stay and that the home worked so well for three generations to enjoy time together.
The riverfront location really is special, and we’re so glad you enjoyed the easy river access, beautiful views, and comfortable setup for a larger group. We also appreciate you calling it a hidden gem — that means so much!
Just as a quick note for future guests, we do not provide a canoe as an included guest amenity, but the river access and setting are definitely a favorite part of the property. Thank you again for staying with us. We would love to host your family again anytime!

We’re happy to hear you loved all the bedrooms and that the home was accommodating for your pets, too. Thank you for staying with us — we would love to host you again anytime!
Being on the shallow river was big fun for kids and adults alike. Plenty of accommodations and amenities for our family of 14. The upstairs is a little warm. There is only one window AC unit upstairs facing the river. There are ceiling fans that help. No grab bars in showers for us old folks.Would we do it again? Absolutely.

Thank you so much for staying with us and for the wonderful review! We’re so glad your family enjoyed the shallow river — it really is such a fun feature for kids and adults alike — and that the home had plenty of space and amenities for your group of 14.
We also appreciate your helpful feedback about the upstairs temperature and shower grab bars. The upstairs can run a little warmer during certain times of year, and we’re glad the ceiling fans helped, but we’ll continue looking at ways to improve guest comfort. We’ll also keep your note about grab bars in mind as we consider future updates.
We’re so happy to hear you would absolutely stay again. We would love to host your family anytime!
The cabin was well stocked, clean and comfortable. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Loved to sit on the deck and watch the river after a long day of outdoor activities. It was very relaxing.

Thank you! Glad you loved it and we can't wait to host you again!
This house was one of the BEST VRBOs we have stayed in. The house was so clean and fully stocked. They had everything you could possibly need, including kids plates, cups and utensils. The wildlife around the house was amazing! We got to see moose, elk, and owls and deer on the driveway. The drive into Yellowstone was a simple straight shot into the park with beautiful views along the way.we highly recommend this VRBO!

WOW! Thank you so much - we are so happy to share it with others to experience the serenity that is Buffalo River.
The location of this beautiful riverfront cabin is stunning. It's secluded but still close to everything at the same time. It was well equipped, especially the kitchen, and spotlessly clean except for one problem. The upstairs large bedroom carpet that our granddaughter and her family were staying in had a strong urine odor, making our granddaughter sick to her stomach and kept her awake at night. Ali, our hostess, was very responsive when we immediately voiced our concern and had a cleaning crew there the next morning. They applied deodorizer and vacuumed the carpet. Unfortunately, it stirred up the odor and made the situation worse. We needed all the bedrooms with the size of our group. It was warm all three days/nights we were there and the ceiling and self-standing fans were very helpful. Two of the bedrooms are small and lacked windows and they were very warm at night, making sleeping difficult. We inquired about a possible compensation for the odor issue, but Vrbo replied that they wouldn't offer anything. They said they will clean the carpet for future guests, but that didn’t solve the problem we had to deal with. If you stay there be sure the odor problem has been fixed. Surveying the opinion of our family members, we would not stay there again.
We had family from a few different states meet here for Thanksgiving. We loved everything about the cabin. It’s very spacious for large groups. We would have loved to write in the guestbook, but couldn’t find one. The hosts were very responsive when needed. We would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful property. Great hot tub & can’t beat the river view from the back deck. Enjoyed a campfire each evening. Very comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. Very spacious kitchen with quality cooking utensils & appliances. Horse back riding at the Harriman Trail Rides was awesome!! Finding the hidden moose at the home was a blast for the kids. Highly recommend this wonderful home for family vacations.

Love to see this! That view is just amazing. That photo - wow!!! So glad the kids loved finding our mascot!
What a lovely property on the Buffalo River! All 10 of us from ages 14-77 loved this super clean, well-stocked house with a beautiful view of the river off the back deck. Ali and Jeremy have thought of everything from extra camp chairs to board games to soft, snuggly throws for chilly nights. We loved having a true “home base” to explore Yellowstone and Grand Teton. We didn’t see a lot of wildlife there but throughout the region you’ll see a lot! Don’t miss the Mesa Falls Scenic Drive - the Upper Falls trail did not disappoint! Bonus for us - the downstairs master with en-suite bathroom for our older family members, with an easily accessible shower off the kitchen as well. Book this wonderful property - you will love it too!

Clean, Spacious, Comfortable Cabin for Families with Pets
Chose this place because it fit our large family of 15 with a dog and it had ample sleeping and lounging space that it can easily fit more! Everything seemed pretty new/well-kept and clean. Bathrooms and kitchen were luxurious. There are neighboring cabins close by but it didn’t seem like anyone was around this time. We wish we came at a warmer season so we can fully enjoy the many decks, grill, fire pit, and river. So we opted for the jacuzzi and many board and arcade games inside.
Tips: As a pet friendly place, there might’ve been a cat previously because one of our cat-sensitive family members got bad allergies while only inside the cabin. Be careful of the uneven steps up to the second floor- everyone tripped multiple times while going up the first night but thankfully it was soft thick carpet. Also there’s no stove hood so make sure to open windows to prevent the kitchen from getting too smoky when cooking. It can get confusing getting there at night/during a storm so try to arrive before dark.
Hosts were very organized, communicative, and helpful. Overall, very impressed and highly recommend it!
