Great location but the house was a bit run down. I understand it is end of summer and they will probably do a refresh.

Thank you for your review. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the location! I’m sorry if you felt like the property was not up to your standards. If I had known about any issues during your stay I would have been happy to address any concerns right away. I do schedule regular updates and maintenance, and your feedback helps me continue to improve. I hope to have the opportunity to host you again for an even better experience.
Great location, short walk to beach & grocery store. Comfortably accommodated our large group w/ample dining space, TVs in each bedroom, and reasonably stocked kitchen.Unfortunately, positives were overshadowed by significant cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and potential health concerns. Most importantly, anyone w/mold allergies should be cautious. During our stay, 11 of 20 guests experienced symptoms inc. congestion, sore throats, headaches, coughs, and post-nasal drip consistent with mold allergies. Combined with persistent musty odors/black discoloration around an HVAC vent, we recommend a professional mold inspection.Issues began @ check-in. Cleaners were still finishing when we arrived, and we found a note stating, "Do not use, toilet clogged." Although repaired the next day, it should’ve been addressed prior to arrival. A broken shower door leaked water throughout the week and couldn’t be repaired.Additional issues included poor 1st floor A/C, dirty floors that turned bare feet black, a dusty air vent, stained bedding and pillows, and worn furniture. Most concerning safety issue was a loose third-floor deck railing. We blocked access because a child could have fallen 3 stories. Other concerns included inadequate pool seating for a 22-person home, hot tub with only two working jets, and what appeared to be backed-up septic water near a sliding door. The property has potential, but needs substantial maintenance, deep cleaning, and inspection before we could recommend
The overall location so great…just a 4 minute walk to the beach. The house itself is older so do expect a few loose hinges, sticky shower curtains and some small repairs here and there. The decks do need some updating but they are sturdy. One of the 2nd floor bathroom’s shower door didn’t close all the way so water did leak out when someone needed to shower. The pool area is nice but was not super clean when we got there. Also the propane tank was empty so we did have to purchase a new one which we were reimbursed for. The house is very large and noise does travel so be weary if you’ve got small kids (for napping, etc)We did get new towels for each room along with shampoo, body wash and lotion (like a hotel room). We also got towels for the pool. Overall we think it’s a good choice. The host James is wonderful and did get back to us within a reasonable amount of time.
