Apponogansett park 1 mile away features outdoor concerts every Wednesday night.

Excellent House

We enjoyed the house very much. It’s very well equipped, including temperature control/AC which is unusual for Nonquitt. Susan and her sons were wonderful and helpful. All in all, an excellent vacation house!

The house was great! A lot of space and very nice and tasteful. We were there for a little over two months and really enjoyed our stay. Everyone in neighborhood was very friendly.

Holidays At Nonquitt

My wife, brother-in-law, and I stayed here for about 6 weeks over Thanksgiving and Christmas. The house is absolutely lovely, and the large kitchen was great for our long-term stay and for cooking over the holidays. There are windows lining every wall, and it is very bright during the daytime. The high ceilings are beautiful, and we were able to comfortably fit a 9-foot Christmas tree in the main living room! Our hosts were very communicative and accommodating, and helped us take care of receiving packages over the holiday season. I would definitely recommend this stay for anybody looking for a beautiful spacious stay in the area!

This place was amazing! The host was so kind and accommodating. The communication with the owner was prompt and helpful. The layout of the home is perfect and it is exactly as shown in the pictures. We highly recommend this beautiful home.

Fabulous!

What a fabulous home! Instant relaxation as you turn down the driveway! This home is so well appointed and really had everything we needed. We loved going for afternoon walks on the beach finding sea glass and shells. The huge yard was perfect for kids to run and play and the proximity to the village stores and restaurants, parks and other amenities was great. Far enough out of the way to fully relax but close enough to be convenient. The house was clean, had a stocked kitchen for cooking and Susan was so wonderful to work with. We are moving to the area but plan to recommend this for large groups that come into visit.

Nonquitt summer cottage casual elegance located in a private gated community in a country and beach setting on South coast of MA. As approaching this most amazing home, the elegance begins to unveil. This beautiful colonial beach home is equipped with all the bells and whistles that one can only dream of. Home includes the dormer roof, front porch, deck off master suite, hardwood flooring, crown moldings, French doors, gas fireplace, beautiful kitchen, lovely stairs, amazing layout, outdoor grilling area with blue stone, stonewalls, and the list goes on. All newly built and decorated with the eye of a decorator. The rooms are open and airy which lend plenty of space for family to gather. Most perfect place to take timeout of the hustle and bustle to relax and enjoy your days with family and friends. Just check in, unpack, fill your fridge, and relax and enjoy your stay. Truly the most beautiful home and feel very lucky to be a guest. All family members were very happy with the home. We did family type activities taking walks, going to the beach, cookouts, and old fashioned games. Nonquitt is a very quiet, friendly, and safe community. We wish we had found out about this cottage sooner. The listing description was accurate regarding the location, layout, and amenities. This is a very clean property and very well maintained. The owner is very welcoming and makes sure that your stay is exceptional. The owner is both very professional and provides excellent service. Yes I would recommend this property to friends and relatives.

Fulfills your dream of a New England Summer Cottage

The house is beatiful and relaxing. The amenities in the community the house resides are excellent. You could spend all your vacation in Nonquitt or easily get out for a day trip to Martha's Vineyard or Newport Rhode Island. The location presents many options for the family.

Our family built this house for family. It is constructed of quality materials with a warm, cottage design. We have lived in the house next door since 1988. This cottage was constructed in 2007, and it has welcomed family and a few renters since that time. Our family is in the real estate development business and are right next door if needed or for local recommendations.

Why they chose this property

This property is designed to look like the cottages found in Oak Bluffs in Martha's Vineyard which the original cottages in Nonquitt were styled after. Our home is much newer than most of the cottage rentals in Nonquitt offering a more comfortable stay. We are located at the Northern most end of Nonquitt, 1/2 mile from the entrance area providing easy access to and from the Padanaram Village just off a private drive offering quiet relaxation and quick access to all the happenings in Nonquitt.

What makes this property unique

Nonquitt is a unique summer community offering scheduled activities to participate in if you choose (bridge, art show, dog show, 4th of July parade, etc.). Dartmouth is a gem, just about an hour from Boston, and a half hour from Providence, without the hassle of Cape Cod traffic. Day trips to Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Cuttyhunk and other area attractions are readily available. New Bedford offers many maritime marvels to explore plus a zoo and an Ocean Explorium. A place families come back to summer after summer and generation after generation!
