Important Things to Note
• Stairs required: The apartment is on the third floor and there is no elevator.
• Parking: Up to 2 vehicles are permitted in the parking lot. Parking passes must be purchased in cash at the security kiosk upon arrival; $20 per pass, up to 2 passes authorized per reservation. No additional parking beyond what’s described.
• Pets: Pets are not allowed at this home.
• Streaming: Guests can access streaming services with their own account credentials.
• Security camera: An exterior camera is located at the main entry door facing the external hallway.
• Communal amenities: Pools, hot tub, and fitness room are shared and located within the community.
• Laundry: Washer and dryer are available in-unit.
• There is a SMALL portable dishwasher that sits on the side table for guest use.
• Check in is at 4:00 PM and checkout is at 10:00 AM. We cannot guarantee or approve early check in or late checkout requests in advance.
• We recommend considering travel insurance, just in case any unexpected changes come up. We do stick to our cancellation policy and want to make sure you're covered!
• We provide bedding, towels and a small starter set of essentials to help get you settled. Feel free to message us for details on what’s included.

The lack of a proper dishwaher should have been noted. The one there was extremely small, and had to be moved and hooked up to the sink with hoses. The dishgwasher was in the sitting area next to the couch, but it is not shown in the photo for the unit. We did not use it. It seems ill-advised to me to make this hook up and leave it running when leaving the unit ad advised in the check out instructions. We had to stand on the bed to turn on the light and fan in the bedroom. Wires for the bedroom TV hang loose on the wall under the TV. The room instructions need to be updated. They talk about a door lock brand that it not even on the door. The chair in the sitting area is not comfortable - the rigid support across the front of the chair pushed into your legs.

We have stayed several times at The Spa on Port Royal and this time was just as enjoyable as all of the others. Easy check-in. Short walk to the beach. Lots to do on resort as well; 3 pools, hot tub, tennis courts, cornhole, and shuffleboard.

Property had roaches. They were quick to communicate, with no action. Informed Wednesday first thing in the morning. Once we saw roaches crawling above where our children slept, it was a no go. Vacated two days early to get a last minute hotel on Thursday evening, still no action by them. They claimed they didn’t have enough time, but had more than 24 hours. They refuse any compensation at all. Would avoid Grand Welcome properties.

The home was inspected before your arrival and showed no signs of activity, but we recognize that pests can be unpredictable, especially in warm climates. Our team communicated promptly and was actively coordinating with local vendors to address the situation within 24 hours, despite limited availability. We understand your decision to leave early and regret that we weren’t given the opportunity to fully address the issue during your stay. We remain committed to maintaining clean, safe homes for all guests.
Unfortunately the unit had roaches. Property management was not responsive in a timely manner. When they did reach back out, they were unprofessional. We ended up having to find other accommodations for our stay and was denied my request for a refund. Will not stay at any of Grand Welcome Hilton Heads properties ever again.

Ok but a few disappointing things
The place didn’t seem well maintained. After loading the dishwasher and trying to run it, I let the manager know that it wasn’t working. The response was. Oh don’t use it. It’s being replaced the end of the week. I would have liked to have know that before because I wasn’t wanting to wash dishes on my vacation. Bedroom wall light switch didn’t work so I had to stand on the bed to get the light on and off. The toilet bowl seat wasn’t bolted down. No hot pads or pot holders which I didn’t know until I needed to pull a hot pan from the oven. Only one dish towel and one dish rag.
