About this property
*The Dovetail Den- Tranquil with Hot Tub and A/C*
Welcome to Dovetail Den, a charming one-level sanctuary tucked away in the stunning surroundings of Mount Rainier National Park located in Echo Valley. This 636-square-foot hideaway boasts a cozy 1 Bedroom and 1 Bathroom studio space, providing the ideal retreat for nature lovers. Step out onto the spacious deck and marvel at the sweeping views of the surrounding trees from the hot tub.
Welcome to Echo Valley!
A unique neighborhood with eclectic homes and camping sites.
Whether you're relaxing on the deck or admiring the local deer that frequent the property, Dovetail Den offers a tranquil experience. Inside you will discover a welcoming bedroom complete with a king-size bed, ensuring a restful stay. The bathroom is conveniently located within the studio bedroom.
The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen that has everything you will need to whip up delicious meals, although we recommend stocking up on groceries before you arrive in Ashford. There is a nearby general store that offers the essentials as well as beer and wine.
We keep the checkout process simple. Just take out the garbage, rinse the dishes before placing in the dishwasher, and put any used towels in the hamper or floor.
The weather is unpredictable in the mountains, if a power outage occurs, we have flashlights and a backup power source for your convenience. If an outage stretches beyond 5 hours and you wish to cancel your stay, kindly inform us promptly.
This is a studio cabin. There is a step up into bedroom area but there is no door that separates the bedroom from the living area.
Our cabin sits up on a private road on a steep hill. The roads are very dark, so please keep that in mind when you arrive.
FOREST ROAD 52/ SKATE CREEK ROAD WHICH TRAVELS EAST TO WEST, BETWEEN PACKWOOD AND ELBE IS OFTEN CLOSED ESPECIALLY DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. Please check road conditions before traveling.
If you are planning on visiting Mount Rainer National Park from May 24-September 2nd timed reservations will be required. If you visit before 7 am or after 3:00 pm (PST) no reservation is required.

About the host
Hosted by Patrick Buchignani

We are Mountain Star Cabins. We fell in love with Mount Rainier and love coming to Ashford. The mountain has always had a special place in our hearts. We purchased our personal cabin and decided to start our first short term rental called "The Knotty Shack." We loved hosting and were excited to start our next venture the "Dovetail Den."
Why they chose this property
Ashford is a quant little town. It is far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is a place to connect with nature.
What makes this property unique
Dovetail is our modern cabin that has everything you need to feel at home. It sits on a private dead-end road that feels secluded.
Premier Host
They consistently provide great experiences for their guests
