About this property
New Modern Retreat in Bernard
Welcome to our thoughtfully built home in Bernard. This newly constructed space offers comfort, style and convenience. Enjoy an open floor plan with a fully equipped kitchen, cozy living, plush bedrooms and modern heating and cooling for a comfortable stay. Located minutes from Southwest Harbor, Acadia National Park, hiking trails, and the scenic coast. This is a perfect spot for a getaway or base to explore the beauty of the area.
The space
We recently converted this property from a garage into a welcoming home. We kept the existing concrete floors and 10-foot ceilings, which offer both durability and a bright, airy feel. While the space is designed to be child-friendly, the hard floors on the first level might be less forgiving for young children, so please keep this in mind if you're renting with little ones.
The open-concept first floor is perfect for entertaining. Our passion for cooking is reflected in the kitchen, where we’ve provided a selection of pots, pans, knives, and basic gadgets to enhance your cooking experience.
We have weekly cleaning for the property every Monday between 10am-3pm.
There’s no TV in the home, but we have a portable projector with streaming for shows and movie nights. Though it’s not the highest quality available, it gets the job done. The living room wall is kept clear for projection, and the projector can be moved to other rooms as needed.
Each bedroom comes with a closet, a sound machine, a portable fan, and blackout shades to ensure a comfortable night's sleep.
We designed this home with guests in mind and appreciate any feedback you may have. Please note that the exterior is still a work in progress. While the landscaping is incomplete, you can still enjoy outdoor seating, a charcoal grill, and a fire pit.
