We loved our stay at Winston’s place. Nicely upgraded while maintaining amid-century modern charm. Loved being able to open the three French doors and listen to (in our case) the rain. Bonus: all the toiletries smelled amazing! Thanks, Nickie, for a wonderful getaway!
This is our second time and the place is great. Quiet and comfy short distance of Hunter (30min), Phoenicia Diner (5min), ... our little family felt like home.
I was so pleased with this place . I’m always hesitant when booking online but this place is just like the pictures . Very clean and well kept .
Not much around , which we liked. Woodstock was a really cute town. Will definitely be staying again soon !!
A quiet cabin getaway on the edge of the mountain forest with modern conveniences. Everything works, what they claim is what you get. Esopus Creek and the Catskill Park is lovely and nearby. Boiceville is unpretentious but has everything you need, including a vet! Nickie couldn't have been a better hostess and responded in a timely way to all inquiries. Its necessary to climb outdoor stairs to come and go and indoor stairs to use the loft, best for visitors who don't mind that.
Winston's cabin was everything it was advertised to be. Comfortable and well appointed with a beautiful deck and spacious interior. The close proximity to the quaint town of Boiceville made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

All the comforts of home
Nicki’s home is a perfect mix of cabin in the woods and all the comforts of home. We were convenient to all in the Catskills,. We cooked both days we were there and the local IGA had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for our two teenage daughters and two springer spaniel pups. The beds are really comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. Nicki was easily accessible by text when we had any questions. Couldn’t ask for a more peaceful retreat!!

Yearly visit with our son.
This property was an excellent way to give our son a few days to get away from his high pressure job in the city. We all just relaxed and enjoyed each others company. The cabin was comfortable and nicely appointed, a mix of modern and rustic. I was especially impressed with all the motion detector lights, inside and out. It made getting around at anytime of the night easy and safe. The only thing I found displeasing was some of the food left behind from former occupants,. Half eaten containers of ice cream in the freezer was a little gross.
All in all, we had a good time. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating, so we were not able to explore the trails in the surrounding are. A somewhat less important item compared to the real mission of our visit.

Virkelig lækker hyggelig hytte i meget rolige omgivelser👍Lækker naturoplevelser i området
Her var alt det man kan ønske sig for at holde en aktiv ferie i super flotte omgivelser. Masser af gode hiking muligheder, og så tilbage til hytten og tænde op i pejsen og bare hygge🇩🇰

Great weekend!
The house was spotless, beds comfortable, full pantry! We brought so much stuff we didn’t need. It was like staying at a friends house, definitely going back. I think this will be our go to spot to get away a few times a year. Love my kids but next time me my sweetheart and my dogs LOL

Perfect getaway!
Check-in was super easy and the cabin spotless when we arrived. Nickie is a wonderful host and very accessible. This spot is such a cozy hideaway we didn’t want to ever leave. Equipped with everything from a fully stocked kitchen and pantry, to the heavy well worn blankets that look like they should smell musty from years of use but actually smell fresh and clean. The property itself is magical, offering an array of spots to sit, sip coffee, and watch the wildlife (like the family of 6 deer that found us curious while swinging in the hammock). We found everything we were looking for: a cozy secluded spot to relax and recharge; endless options for outdoor activities; an indoor fireplace to snuggle up to in the rain and make s’mores. Our only regret is not staying longer. Already looking forward to another visit in the near future! Thanks Nickie!
Cozy cabin with all mod cons. The interior is charming with lots of wood and silver birch trunks. The views from the windows gave you the feeling you were in amongst the tree canopy. Calming place to chill out.

Comfortable and cozy
We enjoyed our stay, even though it rained half the weekend. We played Scrabble in the comfortable front room and slept deeply at night. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and condiments and we didn't miss any ingredient at our meals. The only thing we missed was the noise of the city, and that was a pleasure. Thanks for everything.

Lovely property!
The description and photos were accurate but don't do justice to its true charm. The living area is wonderfully decorated, well sized and very clean. the wrap around deck space was more than adequate. The loft was such a charming feature and my toddler son enjoyed playing up there, but since we were there during one of the hotter July days, it doesn't get as cool as other areas of the home.
We cooked a lot while we were there and had no issues (we did not use the outdoor grill). The kitchen was modern and had all the amenities we needed for stress free dinners. The pantry and fridge were stocked with some kitchen basics and condiments.
Nickie was a wonderful host! She was attentive to our needs travelling with a toddler and very accommodating. She responded promptly and provided options for site seeing and outdoor activities.
I can wait to come back and visit again, perhaps in the cooler fall weather when the leaves change.

The best stocked cabin
Thanks to Nickie, we were able to check in an hour early on the day of arrival. We found the cabin very private, quiet and comfortable.
Despite the remoteness of the the cabin, it's about 5 minutes from the grocery store, gas station, etc.
The cabin was extremely well stocked with all the essentials including plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, kitchen supplies, cooking utensils, propane grill with spare tank, cleaning supplies, etc., etc.
During our stay, there wasn't any need to run out to get something we forgot to bring; making our time more enjoyable.
My friend kept commenting how nice the cabin and layout were and kept calling it "my perfect dream house".
We were about 12 minutes away from Tremper Mountain, where we hiked to the top and up the fire tower. There was an amazing 360 view of the mountains. We also took advantage of the many other hiking trails near by.
The cabin is a few minutes away from a Brewery and about 20 minutes away from Woodstock where we spent an afternoon.
Overall, we had a great time. Would definitely consider staying here again.
Thanks again Nickie!

Relaxing cabin get away.
The cabin is easy to get to, yet you feel like your miles in the hills. All the comforts we needed to relax a whole day away. The lovely wrapped porch is a perfect location for reading, visiting or eating -both morning & night. You can slip into the early morning quiet or let the evening wrap around you. Though tucked away on the side of the hills, a short drive got us onto the main roads for day trips to several Hudson River towns, to Woodstock or to Hyde - it was easy access to the Historic towns north & south on the Hudson. Nickie's cabin was an excellent vacation home-base and it was very easy to work with her on any questions we had as we planned our week. Just perfect.

Cozy, Woodsy Cabin on The Hill
We had a wonderful relaxing stay at the cabin. Modern kitchen, heating and ammenities made for a more comfortable stay. The bedrooms are charming and the beds are so comfy. Nearby railroad trail to hike along Esopus Creek and climbing the hill through the woods kept kids active when they weren't playing games or watching 'Stranger Things". Plenty of local food and fare nearby in Phoenicia and Woodstock. Would definitely go back.
