Great spot for a family trip. The house had plenty of room for all of us, with enough bedrooms and space that nobody felt cramped. Location was the best part. It's an easy walk to everything on Elk Avenue.

Great property! This is a historic home in a prime location in the middle of town, within walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Crested Butte. Perfect for families or couples. We are already planning our trip back and hope to stay here again next year.

Annual CB trip

We travel to Crested Butte every year for a family trip. We have stayed in many different houses in town and this is one of our favorites. The location and layout of the house worked very well for our group.

Wonderful house right one Elk Ave!

The house was in a great location! It was clean, well stocked with spices and oil, and the living area was great for a larger group. Beds were also very comfy. Would highly recommend!

Location is excellent, and the fact that it’s the old Secret Stash house is a fun fact. But it’s currently staged to sell instead of furnished to live in, and there was almost no clothes storage available in the two downstairs bedrooms or the loft. Similarly, there was a note about not opening the upstairs windows because they were broken, which made those bedrooms hot at night. We had a great time, but not sure we’d rent this again for the price. Check-in/check-put process was easy.

Thank you Melissa for leaving a review. The house isn't staged to sell, it is in fact just as it is. The historic aspect of the house leaves little closet space, that is true. To date no other guests have mentioned this but I understand what you are saying. In regard to the primary bedroom windows and temperature, we have an a/c unit normally set up up there so that you we can keep you comfortably cool. You can also leave the door open or a different window to enjoy the natural breeze. The windows you mentioned are getting repaired, we aren't leaving them undone but waiting on the repair to happen. So sorry for any inconvenience and since that a/c unit is portable, I'm guessing it migrated to somewhere else in the house.

We spent a great week in Crested Butte in this wonderful rental. Right on Elk Avenue and close to everything CB has to offer. The house is historic and charming. All amenities available. Look forward to returning.

Alpine Property Management was easy to communicate with and very helpful and accommodating. The unit was well appointed and it was the perfect location. We could walk to anywhere and never had to use our car. We loved the master suite and the kids loft. Just know that the kids area is open to the downstairs so can be a bit louder. Thanks for a great stay.

Annual CB visit

This renovated property was very nice and enjoyed by our whole family of 7. The place was clean and well furnished, particularly the kitchen. That we could all walk to places in town was great. Hiking/ biking trails were literally out our front door. CB is a beautiful place mid summer.

Perfect family retreat

Stayed 6 nights in July with my husband and three teens (two girls and one boy). The layout of the home was perfect for us. Everyone had their own space and bathroom. Parking behind the house was convenient and secure as we also had a trailer and two dirt bikes in two. Teens loved being able to walk to everything available on elk avenue and made going out for meals effortless without having to fight for parking. The farmers market on Sunday was literally right in front of the house. So fun! Close proximity to a few hiking trailheads as well. We would definitely stay here again!
