Such a cute little cabin! It had all the basics we needed for our stay. Honestly, loved just hanging out and watching the geese fly in and do their thing on the water. Plus, the location was so convenient for getting around. Really enjoyed our stay!
We loved our time here! House was clean, beds were comfy. We caught a few fish and Our dogs LOVED jumping in the creek! I would recommend a vehicle with four wheel drive any time you visit the mountains! We can’t wait to come back!
Perfect cabin for friends and family right on the creek. Water can be swift, you will want rope and tubes. Excellent location to enjoy McCaysville and all the water ways.
A wonderful cozy cabin with a great outdoor space! The basement is stocked with games and air hockey table, bunk beds, a perfect kids hangout space. Quick drive into town for lots of restaurants and walking around, great location.

Thank you for your kind review—we’re so glad you enjoyed your stay! As for the fishing… we do our best to provide a great location, but unfortunately, the fish didn’t get the memo. They tend to operate on their own schedule! 😄 We hope you’ll cast a line with us again sometime—maybe the fish will be feeling more sociable next time!
Very relaxing stay at this peaceful cabin. Picturesque views with lots a of wildlife. Did a little fishing and floating in the creek. Would definitely recommend.

Hi Tracey, we are so happy to hear you loved it as much as we do. We hope to host you again soon!
Great location. Beautiful view. Very relaxing spot. There was plenty for our family to do and we will definitely be coming back. I would suggest extending the dates for access to the inside fireplace. It was cold in the mornings and evenings and we really missed the opportunity to have a fire inside. The outside rocking chairs are getting some age on them and areas are coming a part. All that said, we saw enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Troutlandia. The cabin was clean and the view was beautiful. The kids loved fishing in Fightingtown creek. They caught several fish.
The cabin was very clean and well equipped for almost all of our needs. The creek was amazing and the kids loved floating over the rapids on their tubes. The only drawback was the lack of a restroom in the bunk room so they had to go upstairs during the night. The directions to the cabin could be improved by putting a small sign with an arrow that points to the drive. I highly recommend the Georgia mountains for a laid back, non commercialized stay. We were able to do rafting, horseback riding, gem mining, putt putt, and even a trip to the Lost Sea. The fire pit was excellent for smores and wiener roasting.
