About this property
MAUSHOP VILLAGE, NEW SEABURY! 2024 was SOLD OUT! BOOK EARLY!
There is something magical about Maushop Village, tucked inside the resort community of New Seabury on Cape Cod’s Nantucket Sound. Your Cape Cod experience starts as you cross one of the iconic bridges that separate the Cape from the rest of the world. Welcome to our home at Maushop Village!
These Nantucket-style cottages evoke images of a by-gone era, with white picket fences nestled on the bluffs overlooking the ocean with Martha’s Vineyard in the foreground. With footpaths made of white crushed clamshell, Maushop Village is the only community within the resort with deeded beach rights to our own, privately maintained, sandy beach on Nantucket Sound.
Our sun-drenched home is bright, comfortable, charming and able to comfortably accommodate 4, with a Master queen and two twins in the second bedroom. It is one of the few units with two full baths and an expanded, glassed-in sunroom! The brick patio is equipped with tables & chairs, umbrella for some shade (if you want shade!) and a Weber gas grill.
We are perfectly located at the top of the bluff (with a peek of the ocean), with a 2-minute walk to the private beach, a 5-minute walk to the wonderful Popponesset Marketplace (http://popponessetmarketplace.com) a 5-minute walk to either the famous Popponesset Inn or the outstanding Popponesset Country Club at New Seabury. A ten-minute drive gets you to Mashpee Commons, home to many restaurants, entertainment venues, and wonderful boutique shopping (http://mashpeecommons.com).
Sun and sand, ice cream and miniature golf, an outdoor summer concert series down the walking path, Cape Cod League Baseball at its best one town away, and Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard only a quick ferry-ride away. Public Golf courses are populated all over the Cape, with several within 20 minutes of our cottage. Bring your bikes and ride for miles! The options are endless.
In Wampanoag folklore, Maushop was a giant who captured the sun for the people of Cape Cod. Now it is your turn to capture the magic!

About the host
Hosted by Dave & Lori

We bought this cottage in April 2016, after having visited this village for several summers. We are both commercial real estate professionals in Hartford, CT --so we know a thing or two about caring for a beautiful property. Before Hartford, though,we were each born and raised in the suburbs of Boston. The Cape was always our summer destination. We are happy to be back!
Why they chose this property
After having stayed at Maushop Village for years, we decided the time was right to purchase one ourselves. After exhausting many alternatives in the Village, 21 Flying Cloud became available and was by far the brightest, most pleasant, and best location we had seen. We think you will agree!
What makes this property unique
Our home is one of the largest styles in the Village, sits at the top of the bluffs, with a slight peek of the ocean. It's location offers easy in/out access, easy walking distances to all nearby attractions, but almost no vehicular or foot traffic going by. Fresh paint throughout, brand new living room furniture, all new kitchen items (glassware, plates, pots & pans, silverware, etc), tastefully decorated in a nautical theme, this cottage is the perfect setting to call home base for your Cape Cod vacation. Did we mention the 2 minute walk to the private beach?
