Come relax and enjoy our updated (inside and out!) and tastefully furnished beach cottage in family friendly Popponesset ... the perfect spot for your family summer vacation or wedding weekend at the nearby Popponesset Inn and New Seabury Country Club. Let our home become your Cape home away from home. Everything you need will be here waiting for you!

Bed linens and bath towels are provided as well as all of your beach needs (chairs, wagon/cart, umbrella, sand toys, etc.). Also provided are daily household supplies - TP, paper towels, dish & laundry detergent, trash bags, etc. No extra packing or shopping necessary. Just show up, relax and enjoy!

Our recently remodeled cottage offers 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. A large fully furnished eat-in kitchen and comfortable living area will not disappoint. Outdoor living space offers a large deck with gas grill, dining table and lounge furniture.

Walk to our private community beach (approx. 300-400 yards away; 5-8 minute walk) and enjoy the warm ocean water of the Nantucket Sound, kayak and paddle board in Popponesset Bay or search for critters on The Spit.

Children can walk or bike to the ball field, playground or Dean's Pond where they can learn to fish or feed the ducks. Our Community Center (one block away) offers daily morning and evening activities for all ages in the summer season and the Cape Cod Children's Museum is a 3 minute drive away and is open year round.

Take a short drive, bike ride or walk to the charming Popponesset Marketplace featuring a general store, ice cream shop, candy store, pizza parlor, miniature golf, children's activities, award winning lobster rolls, raw bar and specialty boutiques. Live entertainment is provided Thurs-Sun each week in the summer. Grab a drink at the gazebo while the kids dance to the music!

Enjoy waterfront dining at the nearby Popponesset Inn or New Seabury Country Club.

Travel 3 miles by car to Mashpee Commons which features 90+ shops, a movie theater, bowling alley, concerts, family entertainment and numerous restaurants.

Take a ferry from nearby Falmouth or Hyannis to Martha's Vineyard and/or Nantucket or enjoy the aquarium, oceanographic institute and waterfront restaurants in Woods Hole.

For the golf enthusiast, play one or more of the several public and private courses nearby.

My family had a wonderful time at the cottage. The check in process was surprisingly easy due to the programmed lock with a passcode. The cottage is quite roomy and very nicely decorated. Thoughtful printed materials about the area were provided, as well as basic amenities. The outdoor patio was great for evening meals. There is also a shed with all sorts of beach equipment. The private beach was a very short walk away. Overall, a great family friendly place to stay.

The property was as-advertised, very clean, and included a host (Erin) who was very responsive and helpful. The setup of the house was great for a family traveling with small children, and had tons of extras to help with having kids on the trip - strollers, beach carts, beach toys, and even children's beach chairs. (We didn't use the ping-pong table in the basement, but it was set up very nicely and convenient for anyone who would.) The walk to the beach was very reasonable, and the walk to the community playground was even shorter. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend this to anyone traveling with a small family.

Beautiful Vacation Home Needs New Bathroom Door!

This vacation home was clean, comfortably furnished and well maintained. Quiet, pleasant neighborhood. House had a wonderfully equipped kitchen. Families with children will be delighted by the huge range of toys, strollers, etc. It was a little longer of a walk to the beach than we had anticipated but the private beach was beautiful! Family members enjoyed fishing at the Spit. Our only complaint concerns the door leading from the master bedroom to the in suite bathroom. The barn style door is too small for the opening to the bathroom. Huge gap no matter how you try to close the door! No privacy for the person in the bathroom!

Ideal location

The location of this property was amazing -- a true 5 minute walk to the beach and an ideal neighborhood. We were in town for a wedding at the Popponosset Inn and our location could not have been better. Check-in and check-out was super easy and we loved our stay. My husband and I stayed in the house with one other couple. It was perfect size for us. As a note, the third bedroom is a true kids room so it would probably be tight if you had 6 adults. Would definitely stay again!

Great July 4th Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this charming Poppy cottage. The home was completely updated, absolutely spotless and had every amenity you would need while vacationing. We had five adults and had plenty of room. The high-quality sheets and towels were new, and the kitchen was well appointed. The furniture was very cozy for lounging around and the kitchen table was large enough for all to eat at. The shed was full of beach gear and there were plenty of games inside the home. It was a quick walk to the private beach and about a 20 minute walk to The Poppy Marketplace. Erin was wonderful throughout the process, very accommodating and quickly returned my texts and emails. We look forward to returning next year!

I cant say enough about our wonderful stay! Erin was amazing to work with from the very start. Erin was so kind and patient with my many questions as it was our first time visiting the area and was able to answer all of them and then some! The house was clean, decorated beautifully, beds were extremely comfortable and was an easy walk to the beach. The beach was beautiful and not crowded. We have fallen in love with the area and will be visiting again next year for sure!

Great summer vacation

Wonderful stay!

We loved our stay! The house was gorgeous and clean. Erin was also super helpful thru the whole process. We stayed with our 2 young children and the house was perfect for the 4 of us. Despite all the rainy weather we got, there were a lot of things to do and we loved walking to the “Spit” when it cleared up. This was our first and certainly won’t be our last visit to the Poppy beach house!

This cottage was in pristine condition and contained all the things we needed for our week - very well equipped. Our grandchildren were thrilled with how child-friendly it is; plenty of toys, and the ping pong in the very clean basement were hits with them. The only clarification for the listing would be that the window air conditioner is only in the living room, making the bedrooms a bit warm at night during the extended heat wave while we were there. Ceiling fans helped. We would definitely consider again if going to the New Seabury area.

Perfect stay for our Wedding Weekend!

The Poppy House was the perfect place for us to stay for our wedding weekend in April! My mom, now husband and I stayed for the Thursday night before our Saturday wedding, my mom and I Friday night and my husband and I Saturday night and Sunday night, and could not have asked for a more perfect place. Erin’s perfectly decorated, welcoming Cape home is exquisite. She was so accommodating knowing that we were getting married, and allowed us the use of her basement to complete our flower arrangements, and all of the storage of the wedding buckets in the side kids bedroom. The house had everything we needed and much more! We listened to the music from the speakers in the living room while preparing the wedding favors, and sat on the comfortable couches the day after to open our wedding cards and relive the wonderful day we had just had. Everything in the house is absolutely perfect- beautifully picturesque yet comfortable! For anyone looking for an off-season rental on Cape Cod for a little weekend away- or for anytime, I would recommend Erin’s home for sure!
