We had a wonderful week at Cabin 14. Love that the cabin is a little way from the water front and safer for kids. Other cabins nearby with kids to play with which was great. My kids also enjoyed the games room nearby. Excellent clear instructions from the host re check in. Beautiful property with everything we needed for a week. Would definitely return

Gorgeous, Peaceful Cabin on Rangeley Lake

Our family enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Golden Smelt. We have been renting VRBO properties for decades and this is by far the best stay we have ever had. The cabin is brand new, and was stocked with everything we needed to make our stay special. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen, the comfortable beds, the stylish decor, the ample parking spaces, and of course the incredible views of mountains and lake. We loved sitting at the dining table next to the wall of windows that face the lake. The sandy beach was enjoyed daily as we swam in the clear, clean water of Rangeley Lake. We liked sitting on the dock and watching the sun set behind the mountains. The cabin was perfectly clean and Beth was the type of host that made our booking and departure very easy. We are already planning our next visit!

I guess the lesson here is I should not have given in to your demand for money back. You were going to leave a bad review anyway. This is probably your pattern.

Growing up in Maine, I never fully appreciated what this beautiful state had to offer. It has taken 30 years of living "away" to realize that Maine is a true treasure. My husband and I have had our eye on Rangeley for many years and now have made the dream a reality with this wonderful newly constructed cabin. We are a family of avid skiers and outdoor recreation enthusiasts, who have 2 other properties in Boothbay that we have shared with guests from all over the country for 10 years. I enjoy meeting people who love Maine as much as I do and look forward to hosting guests here in Rangeley as well.

Why they chose this property

Niboban Sporting Camps is sited in an amazing location right on Rangeley Lake with shared beach front and 4 community docks. We are right next door to Rangeley State Park and just 20 minutes from Saddleback and downtown amenities. We have just the right amount of seclusion and nature and are still close to shopping and restaurants. For families with young children, you will find many of our cabin neighbors have kids of all ages and this is a welcoming and friendly association.

What makes this property unique

Our cabin has many modern features while still retaining a cozy rustic lake- front feel. We are high up on the property with spectacular views of the lake and mountains. The open layout is perfect for togetherness without feeling crowded! Just a short walk down to our shared waterfront with a small sandy beach and docks.

Plan your summer getaway here and enjoy all that the Rangeley Lakes Region has to offer!
