Just as owner describes "House faces 100' of Private long lake frontage with dock, patio & amazing sunsets. Jet skis & boat rental available. The house was clean & host very responsive. Great place for family.
A lovely spot right on Long Lake in a quiet community not far from stores, restaurants and downtown Traverse City. Owner was very helpful. Highly recommend this house!
We had a wonderful stay here. Plenty of room to spread out and come together. The fire pit and dock were awesome too! We didn’t have time to grill but that was great to have as well.
We absolutely loved the dock, all the windows and views were wonderful. The host answered my questions and was very helpful. We are definitely planning on returning.
Spent the days enjoying restaurants, wineries and local breweries and the evenings enjoying the sunset by Long Lake. Our hosts home was clean and all our needs were met. Excellent!
Comfortable home with spectacular view of the lake! Convenient boat launch 50 yards from home's dock. Quiet & friendly neighboring homes. Ample privacy, and convenient to restaurants and shopping.
The Loon Landing was fabulous. The host was very easy to communicate with. The home exceeded our expectations and the lake views from the livingroom, kitchen and dining room were beautiful. Location was outstanding and a short distance to all activities and shopping.
Exceeded expectations. Reflected a well looked after home. Beautiful setting, great BBQ and fire-pit, and well organised living space for family group of 8.

Thank you Andrew! I am so glad you and your family had a great time. I hope you’ll return soon! Take care, Audrey
Audrey was very friendly and accommodating for us as well as easy to chat with. Our kids loved having the water, a park near by and bonfire nights. Everything was laid out and easy to use!
This VRBO is the best (and we travel!). This full house has it all: comfortable beds, easily controlled temperature, great open spaces, plentiful seating, a fully stocked kitchen ready for use, and even a grill with outdoor seating! The view of the lake greeted us every morning, and the remote location is fabulously close to the city and all the conveniences you could need/want. Even the parking is simple and plentiful. Additionally the host was friendly and helpful with clearly outlined instructions for entry and exit, we will be back.
When I walked in, I knew I picked the right place.
Things we loved: huge windows with a view of the lake, nice furniture and pillows, large bathroom, high quality pots and pans, friendliness of the host, cleanliness of everything.
Things we didn't care for: nothing
This was the perfect location and house for an up north getaway for our family. House very comfortably sleeps 8 with plenty of room. Long Lake is a great lake for any activity. We rented a boat for the week and the dock worked perfectly. My 5 year old nephew was able to walk around in the sandy shallow area and chase minnows as well as jump off the dock at the end. Each evening we watched the sunset from the firepit. This is a perfect spot for day trips to the entire area (wineries, Traverse, sleeping bear dunes, etc.)
This property was perfect for our multigenerational family gathering for a long weekend. The one level home was great for my in-laws who use canes and walkers. The furniture was comfortable and the house was stocked with necessary and desired supplies. Audrey was easy to communicate with prior to and during the stay. It was a welcome break away. The big glass windows gave us a great view of the frozen lake and the snow covered trees. I highly recommend this home as a vacation spot. I can only begin to imagine how great it is in the summer time!

A Vacation to Remember!
We stayed at this newly renovated home on Long Lake and loved our time there! We comfortably slept four adults and five kids. There were several spaces in the home to either watch TV, play a game of cards or have a large family meal. The house is extremely clean and nicely decorated with personal touches. All of the beds and furniture were comfortable and new. The views out of all of the windows facing the lake were breathtaking! The lake is a hard, sandy bottom with a great dock for our boat and plenty of room to sit and watch the sun set or fish. It was probably our favorite spot to hang out...seriously gorgeous views at night.
The location was ideal for going to Traverse City, Charlevoix and Leland. We would absolutely stay there again!

Cozy modern weekend getaway with a view
This cozy modern lake house provided the best weekend for our group of girls! There were 9 of us that fit comfortably as we celebrated a bachelorette and visited the wineries. It was a short drive to town where we grocery shopped and had a van easily pick us up for the winery tour.
The lake view was unbeatable with amazing views of the fall colors. We had a yoga instructor, Leslie, from Yen Yoga in Traverse City come to practice with us at the house as we looked out on the lake. We loved her and our experience!
Audrey was very helpful leading up to our visit and we didn't have to worry about much once we arrived. The kitchen was equipped well for the most part, as we cooked several meals for the group there. The separate dining room was great to have a seat for everyone.

Beware of rental contract terms and security cameras
I rented this property for a family funeral. As soon as we arrived, we noticed a security camera that the owners watch you on this. We had family over for dinner one night because my mom is 89 years old and does not move well and I got a text from the owner that we were breaking our rental agreement with more than 8 people on the property and more than 3 cars. Keep this in mind if you rent this property. They also did not give me back my full deposit.

Barbara, Again so very sorry for your loss and the reason for the stay. Further I apologize for any misunderstandings about the property and rules/regulations which govern the property. I thought I make both the outdoor-only cameras and rules/regulations clear during the rental process. I also know we communicated prior to you signing the agreement about your questions so I assumed you had read the agreement.
To be clear Barbara, I only look at the cameras if I am made aware of an issue. The increase of cars and people did cause a concerned neighbor to call on the very last night of your stay which forced me to take a look. It was then I noticed you had gatherings not just on this last evening but every evening. One night 27 people walked up to the door. Finally, when I reached out that last night to remind you of the rules/regulations, you apologized and offered to pay for any increased costs. I did incur increased cleaning costs and an unexpected septic pump due to your guests and thus why I deducted that cost from your security deposit. Again I apologize for any misunderstandings and will strive to ensure the rules/regulations are clear going forward.
This home was amazing. There's plenty of space for everyone with four bedrooms, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was very close to many Northern Michigan hot spots, and the views of the lake from the home were outstanding. Communication with the host was quick and easy, and I felt as though they were available should I have needed them. Everything was great. I would highly recommend this property.
The house was well-situated with great views of Long Lake and good overall location to access hikes, etc in the Grand Traverse area. Property owner was helpful and responsive.

Why they chose this property
The moment my wheels turn onto Outer Drive, I feel "home." I first moved to a non-lakeside home on Long Lake Peninsula in 1996. I walked by this cottage for decades. When I discovered it was for sale in 2015, I knew I had to jump at the opportunity. The original owners built it with their own hands over decades of ownership and I wanted to maintain their creative voices. I have updated it with a loving heart in the anticipation of retiring here someday. In the meantime, this is where I come to decompress, visit family, and spend my evenings admiring the sunset and loons. I hope you find this home peaceful, uplifting and inspiring.
What makes this property unique
This cottage is used personally. Comfort is key:). I take pride in ensuring beds are comfy, recliners are available for those with aches & pains and kitchen items are of high quality. I am also an artist. Many Items on the walls are made by me and I've also displayed a few items of my late mother's duck decor:). I truly hope you will enjoy my personal touch and style and feel like a welcomed guest:)
