This is a cute clean cozy place for an individual or couple to stay. Pretty patio seating where we enjoyed coffee in the mornings. Walkable to some amenities and restaurants. Have stayed here twice.
Check in was so easy, owners are amazing and respond quickly! Property is exactly as listed, very clean, but still surprised us with how cozy and comfortable it was! It had everything we needed and more. We would absolutely stay again!
Cleanliness was exceptional. Host was easy to get a hold of. We had our small dog with us and there is a great park nearby to walk or play if you have kids with you. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. The kitchen had all new utensils, everything needed to cook up a meal. The bed was comfortable and plenty of wall outlets to charge your phones, etc. We will come back for another stay.
The cottage was wonderful. Very easy to get to from our event. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was easy to work with and quickly responded to text messages through the app.
Such a cute little cottage! It was clean and comfortable. We are on a hiking vacation, so being able to do laundry was so helpful! We would definitely stay here again! Communication was great!
This little cottage had everything we needed and more. It was clean, cozy and conveniently located, walking distance to the best breakfast/brunch restaurant ever, (Word of Mouth), and the capital building grounds were about a 15 minute walk. Would/will definitely book again when in the Salem area.
The cottage was clean and neat. The fireplace was not working, but the heater worked fine. The bedroom is upstairs with little headspace. Nice shower. Plenty of dishes, pots/pans, eating utensils. Good location.
Nice central location, easy check in, we couldn’t get the fireplace to work and place was a bit chilly at night and early mornings. A bit hard to access bed upstairs in loft due to low slanted ceiling (and I am a short 5’0” lady, but we appreciated the modern kitchen appliances and washer and dryer. Nice tidy quaint home in a quiet neighborhood.
Location was perfect with easy access to/from I5 and the salem convention centre. short walk to convenient store and pub. fire place easily kept the cottage warm and was a nice added touch. would stay again if I am in the area.
This property is so lovely. Beautiful and cozy. Comfortable bed!! The neighborhood is just beautiful. The hosts were great about answering questions. I loved it so much. I will definitely stay again!!
The hosts were very responsive and accommodating, when we asked for some extra privileges. Our cottage was clean, quiet, and charming. I would highly recommend these hosts
The host was really responsive and had great directions and instructions for my stay. It was cozy and well situated, quiet neighborhood but close enough to lots of things. Only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the use of the bikes. Nighttime was rather chilly and I was grateful for the fire and that the loft was kept warm by the rising warm air. That plus the shower water never really got warm enough was the only reason for it not being a 5 star rating. I would stay again, but maybe more in the warmer months.

If you want to experience horror, enjoy live ant and spider infestation with a combo of dead bugs, find surprise discoveries of ant trails and an ant party inside your box of cereal brought in less than 6 hours prior; if you enjoy the sights and smells of urine on walls & floors & toilet; the lovely vomit splatter in bathroom, spilled food in microwave, greasy hand/ finger prints on microwave door, dirty used dish sponges left for your use, dust and cobwebs in corners, dog hairs on your bed as well as the luxury of inside out pillowcases and smelly bedding; unsanitary conditions - this is the place for you!!! I didn't dare use the shower nor the laundry appliances. In my experience, I got the surprise fun fact revealed to me by owner that the house had been sprayed on the outside and bait provided for the cleaners to put inside! I know I'm ruining the surprise here, but I just cant contain the thrill you feel with when bringing your pet into a chemically treated and potential toxic fun environment without notice!! Enjoy your stay!!

Thank you for your feedback. We take cleanliness seriously and work hard to provide every guest with a comfortable stay.
We do wish these concerns had been brought up during the visit, especially considering much of our communication before arrival centered around requests for an earlier and earlier check-in time, which we worked hard to accommodate.
We also clearly communicate our house rules, including parking instructions, which exist specifically to protect landscaping and avoid damage. Unfortunately, these guidelines were not followed during this stay.
As for bugs—we perform regular cleaning and pest control, but being surrounded by nature occasionally means a few determined bugs ignore the rules. It seems you have that in common.
We were also surprised to receive these comments after checkout given that property damage occurred during the stay, including a broken vacuum that somehow did not make it to the end of your visit. That mystery may never be solved.
After multiple years of hosting, this was the first guest experience where we felt it was appropriate to leave less than a 5-star guest review. Given the rule violations, property damage, and post-stay refund demands, we felt it was important to be honest in our assessment.
We wish you the best in your future travels and hope your next stay is a better fit.
