Great location

Nice condo in a great location. Super easy walk to just about everything. La Jolla Shores Beach is a block away. Grocery store is a 5 minute drive and opens at 5 am if you don't want to deal with traffic. Condo is as shown in the photos. A couple things to understand, it is 4 plex, so there can be lots of doors slamming. Only an issue the first night, then the noisy neighbors left. Parking in La Jolla is really bad, so having off street parking is great. Parking at the unit is tight, small SUV is about as big as would fit. Having laundry in the unit is a nice, the dryer needs new bearings so it is very loud, just run it when you are out enjoying the beach.

Great Vacation

We had a great stay at the condo! The location was perfect, one block from the beach. The condo was clean and perfect for our family. It had all the amenities we needed. The only drawback was parking. It was a little tight with our large SUV. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Perfect location & well set up

This is a great location from which to explore San Diego for a family of 4 or similar size group. Just steps from La Jolla Shores and central to almost everything else. As photos reflect, the condo is small and you won't want to stay inside long during the days, but it is well furnished and very comfortable--and you are practically at the beach already so have no reason to be indoors! We really enjoyed our stay.

La Jolla Shores spring break!

Family of four here, kids 13 and 14. Great condo in a four unit building. Clean, well laid out, comfortable. Location was absolutely perfect for us! Amazingly quiet at night while still very close to beach, restaurants, and shops. Parking is a bit tight, but it works. Easy to drive to other adventures, but we loved not having to! Thanks for an amazing vacation, can’t wait to go back!

Amazing location in LA Jolla shores. Close to shops, cafe, restaurants and the beach. Bottom unit has space for five (2 adults, three kids). Nice kitchen. As of July 2018, the building next to it is being renovated, which is noisy during the week from about 8 am to 4 pm. Otherwise, I'd stay here again.

Clean, comfortable and Convenient

The condo is extremely well situated for enjoying all that La Jolla Shores offers. Steps from shopping, restaurants and the beach. Unit is very clean. A short drive or bike ride to La Jolla and Torrey Pines. Beds and living room furniture were comfortable. Kitchen is well provisioned with cooking and serving utensils - even had some coffee, filters and dry goods. Never had to contact the manager once we were there. Pre-visit communication was fine (directions for opening).

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!

PERFECT location in the heart of La Jolla Shores! Less than 30 seconds away from both the beach and bars/restaurants/shopping. Every night or morning we'd take a walk on the boardwalk/beach and watch the sun rise or set. If you walk opposite the beach you are right across the street from a whole strip of bars, restaurants, and surf shops. There is also a small pizza shop directly across from the unit. The condo is clean, updated, and stylish. Has everything you need for a stay at the beach. The only thing we couldn't find was an iron/ironing board. Would definitely stay again on our next trip to SD!

Great location...amenities could be better!

This property is in a GREAT location just two short blocks from the beach. The overall stay was good but there are a few things lacking. The supplies were not stocked (i.e. Trash Bags, dishwashing detergent, etc.) and when I messaged the owner to get these things I was told to go buy them in the severely overpriced LaJolla Shores market. The beach toys and chairs were really poor and in need of replacement. The furniture was uncomfortable which made relaxing in the living room difficult. Lastly, the air conditioner did not blow cold. It was good for circulating air but did nothing for the temperature of the place. I would stay here again if these things were addressed. Otherwise, I might look elsewhere.

Great Stay with Some Caveats

The Good: the property is located two blocks from the beach. It takes just a couple of minutes to walk there. You're close to ocean breezes, a playground, convenience store, and a life-guarded family friendly beach. There are also a number of restaurants within walking distance. Try Shorehouse Kitchen, it's delicious. The pizza place across the street, not so good! Ladan is extremely responsive to all inquiries and requests. She has a good amount of beach equipment to use which makes packing easier. The kitchen is also very new and great to use. The neighborhood is quiet at night. The Bad: for including a significant cleaning fee, the property didn't look like it had been properly cleaned prior to our arrival. A few examples (prior to us every going to the beach): We walked around barefoot in the unit and noticed our feet were black on the bottom from what appeared to be dirt. There's a significant amount of sand in-between the couch cushions. The air conditioning unit has a light indicating the filter needs to be changed. There was also sand in our sheets the first night we slept there, again, this is prior to us ever going to the beach. Although the window AC unit does a good job of cooling the kitchen/living room, it does not cool either bedroom in the property. For each night that we were there, we woke up with a fair amount of sweat. You can open the windows at night to let in some cool air, but it was a bit challenging with an infant and toddler who were constantly hot. Lastly, the description describes the property as "newly updated" which is certainly true for the kitchen/living room and bathroom. But the beds in this unit are rock hard and the pillows were exceptionally flat. We felt this was the case for both rooms. We ended up going to Wal-Mart to buy some cheap pillows which made things bearable. Overall, we slept pretty poorly while we were there. If we could make any recommendation to the owner it would be to go buy a few beds for $1,500 at Costco, it would make a world of difference on the unit. Conclusion: if location is most important to you, this is a great spot. For us, we wouldn't stay here again. Our top priorities are comfort/cleanliness, and this place just didn't meet our expectations in those two areas.

This is the spot to stay if you want to enjoy the beach! If you stay anywhere else in La Jolla, you have to fight the traffic and congestion to get here and then parking problem.
Stay in this home, park your car, you do not need to drive, beach and park with play ground is 3 minutes walk, restaurants, cafes, surf shops are around the corner.

Lifeguards are on-hand daily at La Jolla Shores for swimmers and surfers to safely enjoy the surf. It’s tops for picnicking, sunbathing, playing in the water, and people watching. The beach is in front of Kellogg Park which has two grassy areas for picnics that are separated by a large parking lot. Even though the beach is large and so is the parking lot, they both can fill up on sunny days. Rentals are available at the beach and on Avenida de la Playa where you’ll also find a market and restaurants.
