We were looking for a place that would feel like a home away from home for a full week. We could not have dreamed up a better place if we tried! Pam and her team were lovely every step of the way. The property is so special. We enjoyed daily walks and sitting outside even though it’s a warm time of year. It’s just so picturesque! Highly recommend!
Lovely...even better than the pictures! Housekeeping was immaculate. Plenty of space for our family to either be together or spread out. Fun to peruse the library and beautiful decorations, and walk around the property. The host was very accomodating. Castle tour was a must! What rich family history! Thanks to Pam and Brittany
We were in town for an event at ULM. I cannot say enough good things about this entire property. We are still talking about it weeks later. The carriage house almost has a sense of magic to it. Everything we needed was there. Only situations I would not recommend it for is very small children as the house is immaculately decorated. We cannot wait to return in the future. Drinking our morning coffee in the solarium was probably our most favorite part of it all. Communication from host was also frequent and helpful.
We had the BEST time at Layton Castle. The carriage house is such a fun place to stay. Between the sunny solarium, the second floor balcony with shelves packed with books, the beautiful exposed brick and dreamy morning light coming through the bedroom windows there is something beautiful to see everywhere you look! ….and that was without even leaving our suite. Right outside the primary bedroom of the carriage house - in the beautiful courtyard - is a fountain that we very much enjoyed listening to as we fell asleep each night. The grounds are gorgeous, especially now with the magnolias starting to bloom and the beautiful hydrangeas everywhere! There are plenty of cozy seating areas about, but my favorite was under the tree out front - especially in the evening. Swinging under that big tree with the fairy lights and a view of the castle just after dark was absolutely magical. MOST IMPORTANTLY, Pam the host is incredible! She was so kind, helpful and accommodating! She even came out to chat for a bit, made friends with our dog, and she was all around absolutely wonderful! The other staff members that we met were very sweet as well! Our entire stay left us feeling extremely welcomed and you can tell that a lot of thought and care is put into making your experience the best it can possibly be. We will, most definitely, be visiting Layton Castle again - and we’re already looking forward to it!
