Just a short 100 steps to Tybee's South Beach and a stone's throw from Tybee's Back River, enjoy crabbing, fishing, and kayaking right at your doorstep!

The Hideaway is also just three blocks from the lively Pier and Strand Ave, where you'll find shopping, dining, and entertainment options. This cozy one-bedroom, one-bath apartment comfortably accommodates a couple or a small family of up to four guests. Relax on the private, covered deck just outside your front door, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure.

Please note: As Beachside Hideaway is located on the lower level of a historic house, some parts of the ceiling may be lower than usual. If you're 6 feet tall or more, please be aware of this feature. Perfect for those who prefer to park the car and explore on foot, Beachside Hideaway is an ideal base for your Tybee getaway.

Excellent property, well maintained and clean, only issue was lack of direct instruction on parking initially, and the electronic alarm system continuously went off at random times, including in the middle of the night unexpectedly, and Wich would wake us up. Aside from that everything was exactly as described and we would probably stay there again.

I really enjoyed this property! It was quiet and perfectly out of the way to still be involved in everything Tybee has to offer. My mom and I stayed for a girls trip. The bathroom sink stopped working but we were given a discount for the trouble which we appreciated. We would definitely stay again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a cozy little one bedroom apartment just steps away from the S. Beach entrance. It was clean, large shower with great water pressure and a large covered porch to store beach toys and bicycles. A few problems (burnt out light bulb, etc) were addressed immediately. Kitchen was well equipped. We weren't told where to park but once that was figured out the stay was uneventful and we really enjoyed the house. The South Beach is nicer and way less crowded than the mid-beach area around the pier but the apartment is still just a few blocks away from all the shops and restaurants in that area.

While our visit wasn’t without some hiccups our host Joy was easy to communicate and fast to respond. As far as location goes, this spot is perfect to play beach bum on your Tybee vacation. I will say I didn’t realize the apartment is a converted space on the ground level of a historic coastal home built for hurricanes. Not a lot of light or views from the property, but it is clean, well equipped and will have everything you need for a comfortable stay and literally right on the beach. Thank you for hosting us!
